In the clearing stands a boxer and a fighter by his trade,
And he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him down,
Or cut him 'til he cried out in his anger and his shame,
"I am leaving, I am leaving."
But the fighter still remains.
The Boxer - Simon and Garfunkle
She's a trooper, and so far one very lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteYou know, she's usually a whiney, prissy brat, very spoiled. I guess she's tougher than I thought. Her four-legged and two-legged dam's pampered the heck out of her, so it's not her fault.
ReplyDeleteWe got some manure in her stall this evening. Gave her some banamine to help her get things moving. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear! That is a step, er pile, in the right direction!

ReplyDeleteWe have an oil glistening manure manure pile this morning. Yippee! Those of you outside of the horse world have no idea of the joy this brings when you have had a serious colic, it's like winning the lottery.

I was just about to ask if she pooped yet, when I read your last comment!
ReplyDeleteWho would ever dream that we would be so excited about a pile of crap? And yet, we've been holding our breath and anxiously checking!! :)
I'm happy that she's feeling better!
If craps going to happen, it may as well be this kind! If everyone knew that we horse people actually pick this stuff up and examine it, would you think us nuts?
