In between loads of laundry there was bread rising and baking.
We've had quite a bit of rain the past three days, with more coming later today. It is currently sunny and mild out there. We were in a bad drought last year, rain is much appreciated. Everything is a vibrant green. I believe verdant is the word. The word of the day.
What kind of bread is that? It looks so good.

It's an 18-20hr ferment on the counter. There's thyme in this loaf. Baked at 500* in a dutch oven.

Sandra, seeing that loaf of freshly baked bread I wanted to come over with some butter and a spreader. It looks wonderful and surely was delicious😋 My baking project tonight will be homemade tortillas (first time).

ReplyDeleteMiss Merry, that's a lot of rain. If they go out in the field here when it's wet they end up regretting it. We have black clay soil and it is awful. They call it gumbo.

It's very verdant here too. Our stretch of the road is awash with our cherry blossom petals. Usually the wind blows most of them away. Hopefully that's still the case, otherwise I have an awful lot of petals to sweep up.
