Home Is Where the Hearth Is

Now that we are finally having November weather I am into the hygge of the season. I have a friend in Denmark so the word carries meaning for me. This time of year the sunroom is renamed the snug, for good reason. My favorite room in the house.

In the meantime......

Frieda decided to emulate a Gustav Klimt painting. She is talented.

  1. If slept or stayed in that position any length of time. It would take a some time to recover.

  9. That's a lovely room. I like the fireplace with a lot of room for candles. That must be great in cold especially snowy weather.

    1. As is said, Cheerful, home is where the heart is. You do have that house on the land on what looks like a mountain to me. It's kind of a wow!

  12. What a great room to relax in, Sandra. A good book, fireplace and warm blNket are all that are needed. And, of course, a napping feline.

Hah on that position for the Frieda! I sleep nearly like that with a little dog next to my chest!

    1. After over 30 years of many dogs and cats we don't want to look too closely, Val! I have several Klimt prints in the living room. When I saw Frieda laying like this I immediately saw this one in my mind.

  14. I love your connection to the G. Klimt painting. Frieda even has hints of gold in her fur.
Your snug is beautiful and inviting.
