Now that we are finally having November weather I am into the hygge of the season. I have a friend in Denmark so the word carries meaning for me. This time of year the sunroom is renamed the snug, for good reason. My favorite room in the house.
In the meantime......
Frieda decided to emulate a Gustav Klimt painting. She is talented.

If slept or stayed in that position any length of time. It would take a some time to recover.
ReplyDeleteCats are rather flexible, Dora!
DeleteThat is a stunning room. The perfect place to relax this time of year.
ReplyDeleteIt is, Lori. It's too warm in summer but perfect for the cold season.
DeleteI think that I could experience hygge in that room. Thanks for the word.
ReplyDeleteI have amber light bulbs which make everything glow, AC. Perfect winter atmosphere.
DeleteSo cozy.
ReplyDeleteIt is, Miss Merry. It's actually a small space, the camera perspective makes it look larger.
DeleteLook like a great place to put your feet up and read a book!
ReplyDeleteIt is, Far Side, and I have the comfy old chair and ottoman for doing just that!
DeleteAbsolutely stunning and soothing, relaxing ambiance! Of course I also love the cat! :)
ReplyDeleteWe have six of those pesky felines, Linda. You'd be in cat heaven!
DeleteWow! That first photo is spectacular! Love the composition and light! My kind of space and I would be spending a lot of time there.
ReplyDeleteIt's where I end up in late afternoon, Lori. Of course, when we had to replace all those windows I did wonder what was I thinking.
DeleteI love your snug. I'd read in that room, two thumbs up:)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pixie. Something about a fire that makes a room serene.
DeleteThat's a lovely room. I like the fireplace with a lot of room for candles. That must be great in cold especially snowy weather.
ReplyDeleteIt is, Boud. It wasn't so great when it had drafty windows!
DeleteOh, I love your room. Perfect name for it!
ReplyDeleteI used to watch a lot of 'Escape to the Country', Granny Sue. I learned that word there and think it's so appropriate.
DeleteYes, hurray for hygge season. My place isn't nearly as beautiful as yours, but I still love this time of year.
ReplyDeleteAs is said, Cheerful, home is where the heart is. You do have that house on the land on what looks like a mountain to me. It's kind of a wow!
DeleteWhat a great room to relax in, Sandra. A good book, fireplace and warm blNket are all that are needed. And, of course, a napping feline.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the felines, the warm blanket and a fire is all that's needed, Dorothy.
DeleteWhat a beautiful place you have there. It should be on the cover of a magazine!
ReplyDeleteHah on that position for the Frieda! I sleep nearly like that with a little dog next to my chest!
After over 30 years of many dogs and cats we don't want to look too closely, Val! I have several Klimt prints in the living room. When I saw Frieda laying like this I immediately saw this one in my mind.
DeleteI love your connection to the G. Klimt painting. Frieda even has hints of gold in her fur.
ReplyDeleteYour snug is beautiful and inviting.
A quote for our times:
"It is certain, in any case, that ignorance, allied with power, is the most ferocious enemy justice can have." James Baldwin
Take Care,
Kaye
Another Klimt fan, Kaye? We are certainly living Baldwin's words.
DeleteYour snug does indeed look very snug. The fire looks wonderfully warm.
ReplyDeleteThe fire does warm the house, nick. It also has a fan that pushes the warm air into the room.
DeleteThat FIREPLACE!!!!! Love, love, love this. Just left a comment on your latest post and I see now it is. Stunning. Relaxing.
ReplyDeleteThis is a different fireplace, Ivy, on the backside of the other. This one is used.
