Be Like Gatto

Do you notice a theme?

And another?

Life adjusts. I am coming to an understanding with this fact. The strong, active, horse manager-trainer-tender-bossy lady has, not so quietly, become someone else. The dog crazy person now has cats. And a raccoon. Still manages the horses, but less hands on.

I have always cooked. When we lived in St. Paul I loved to entertain and I had the people around me to commune with. There is something to be said about living in a city neighborhood. During the twenty years of intense involvement with horses and the industry I was less involved in house and home. I did not ignore my gardens! Now I am in the next phase of life. House and home. Baking, cooking. Cleaning carpets.

I've also become softer in my personality. Part of aging? Letting go of the past? Probably. What I do know is, in this time of constant turmoil and uncertainty, I am, as they say, savoring the moment.

Savor the moment - a great place to be. And your cooking is always a masterpiece!

Be like Gatto but not entirely 'cause ya need to cook too when you can cook like you do.

We have no choice but to roll with things as we age. Maybe we can do things we love, but in a different way. And a big yum!

Gatto has it all right. Be like Gatto, don't let things get to you.
I'm trying to be a bit more chill. I don't do the big social life anymore.
I'm pretty happy with the dogs, the mules, and the forest.

Our lives do tend to evolve don't they? I was chatting about the same topic with one of my sister-in-law's yesterday. Lovely to see Gatto enjoying his coziness, and your dish looks yummy!

I'm trying, Miss Merry.

True, Lori. Like cleaning carpets!

Gatto has a duel personality. A sweet cuddle bug and a maniac, Linda.

I was born unchill, Val, so tepid is about as chill as I can get!

They sure do, Denise. I tell Gatto on a daily basis the good good deed goes unpunished!

Interesting. We do transition, sometimes smoothly, sometimes not, into different versions of ourselves. I am very close to your current place in life, I think. Home and gardens are now the most important things in my life.

Yes, things, and we, keep changing! Take care. ❤️

You do gardens at a different level than I do, Sue!! It's learning acceptance and some come to it easier than others.

We had rain last night and overcast today. The rain is badly needed, Dora.

So true, Cheerful.

Life, like a garden, has seasons. Gatto is so cute, and always find the sunshine or warmth. Right now Bagherra is splayed out on the chair next to me, hoping to achieve maximum sun saturation.

In a world that constantly rushes and brings endless turmoil, learning to be like Gatto, savoring the warmth of the moment and finding peace in the simple act of baking or cleaning, is perhaps the greatest wisdom of all. You are designing a very beautiful, peaceful next chapter. Beautiful photos.

That's good way of describing it, Pixie. He loves himself a ray of sunshine. It's a universal cat think, I believe.

Thank you so much, Melody.

I am noticing a Theme with Gato, but he looks so damned comfy that I almost wanna join him in his ability to languish so effortlessly. As we move thru our Seasons of Life we do Change and become someone else.

And if we are lucky that someone else is a better version, Dawn.
