Wiped, Not Whipped, Out

There is something to appreciate about a two-legger who doesn't put things away.

I didn't realize I had exhausted myself but it seems I had. I slept twelve hours last night. Twelve. I guess I exhausted Jigs, too. We had overnight rain with more coming later this morning so I won't be whipping weeds and grass for a day or two. Thor decided to give me a break, while still doing good for us all with much needed rain.

I have accomplished about a third of my trimming, which pleases me no end. It's amazing how much is improved when there isn't shaggy grass bordering everything that has a border.

Do what brings you contentment. Even if it is whacking grass.

  1. Weed trimming is the one thing I absolutely don't like. I do it once in a great while and I have to be in the mood. Around my little gardens I just trim by pulling stuff.
    12 hrs!
I cannot recall the last time I slept like that, but boy you must have been tired!

    1. I was tired and I don't sleep like that but I did last night, Val. I was using this out-of-date body harder than the manual recommends

  3. We lived in a community where everything was edged, trimmed and blown. Now we are on our own. I do find that when I take the time to do any of those tasks, that area of the yard does look nice.

    1. I like a little imperfection, which is good because things grow wild here, Dreaming, but this place got out of control. My lack of mobility did not help.

  4. Love the photo. Love those cotton blankets. And I want that leather chair in the background! I can't imagine sleeping for 12 hours...you must have really needed it after all the work you have been doing.

  7. Couldn't agree more, hard work but very rewarding to see the job done. 12 hours tells me your body needed all that sleep after all you did. Well done! What a cute photo!

  13. I can surpass you there. When I arrived in Victoria, Canada, in 2007 I was so tired I slept for 13 hours straight.
