I have a minute to give to this. My eighty-six year-old father passed away early Tuesday morning. It has been a very difficult time for my mother. I am occupied with all of the items associated with a death in the family and a very emotionally fragile surviving spouse.
The thirty-two year-old horse on the farm decided it was a good time to go as well. We said our goodbyes to him on Thursday.
It was my father's time. Hopefully my mother will learn to live her life without him. I will continue to be absent for awhile.
I send you condolences for both losses Sandra. Do take care of yourself as you take care of your mother and all the arrangements.
ReplyDeleteI will be thinking of you.
Oh Sandra! I have been missing you. I wondered if your absence had to do with your father. But losing a beloved animal too, just cruel. I send love and prayers your way today. I hope the sunshine will make an appearance for you too. I know that helps. Blessings
ReplyDeleteVery sorry to hear of your sorrow. Take the time you need to take care of your self and your mother Sandra!
ReplyDeleteSandra, I'm so sorry to hear of your father's passing. And losing a horse as well. (When it rains, it pours, doesn't it?) I'm sending hugs and prayers for you, and your mother as well. -Tammy

ReplyDeleteA beautiful photo. So sorry for you loss, I understand completely what you're going through. My mother passed last April and I've spent lots of time and energy with Daddy helping him through things. It's an ongoing process.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you and your Mom
Sandy
I am very sorry for your loss. Take care.
ReplyDeleteMy dear Sandra, I was wondering if something had happened to keep you away from your blog and others. Now I know and I am relieved you are alright, however I am so sorry about your Father but mostly about your Mother. I know this is going to sound crazy, but I wish the horse would have waited a bit longer to run into greener pastures. If there is anything at all I could do from here I hope you know you only have to let me know.
ReplyDeleteThis too shall pass, even if that is of little comfort presently. Take care of yourself.
So sorry Sandra! My prayers are with you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a draining week you have had. I, too, am sorry for it all. Your Mother is lucky to have you.
