What I did yesterday that did not require a ladder.

Neighbor Bill gave me a large box filled with Haralson apples a few days ago. I had phyllo left from the last galette so I decided to cut up most of the apples to freeze and made this with the rest. They make a good pie. The chandelier will be done. Really.

  2. That looks so good. I may rethink my policy on phyllo

    1. You must have a prohibition on phyllo dough, Boud! I have become lazier by the year, so phyllo and puff pastry have a place in my freezer.

    1. It's good, Miss Merry. The apples stay firm, I like that.

    1. It was developed by the ag department of the University of Minnesota I think in the 20s. The U of M's Apple orchard has made a lot of apple hybrids. It's a firm, more on the tart side apple, Dora

    1. Hi, David! I would happily open the door and make you a cup of tea to go with the tart.
