Mister Naughty Pants
He's so far been on the spice shelf in the pantry rearranging things for me. So helpful. He climbed the paned window in the living room using the wood as his holds. Then there is the usual racing back and forth from one end of the house the the other. Why me? Why wait until I am an elder before the fates plant this bad boy into my life? Some things do remain a mystery.
There was more rain yesterday so once again the neglected property has remained neglected. It will remain so for at least the rest of this week. The dreaded humidity is stifling. I'm a northerner. Tropical humidity is not welcome. I did get the hayfield, otherwise known as our yard, mowed on Sunday. One normal summer day.
We had a bit of lunchtime indulgence. Ice cream with blueberries. I did sprinkle them with sugar earlier although they didn't need it, but we enjoyed them anyway.

How can it be we are three-quarters through the month of July? I am stunned by the speed at which time is moving. I'm not even busy and it is flying by at warp speed. My son's tenth wedding anniversary was last week. What??? He turned fifty-one in April. Double what? Ah, well, at least I discovered dealcoholized wine to sooth my shattered nerves.
My good friend, leftovers, came to my rescue for last evenings dinner. My friend will be with me again this evening. I made a brisket on Sunday and have enough for at least two more meals. Good friends are a blessing. Especially when our weather thinks we are in the tropics.
And that, my human friends, is that.

Time is moving at warp speed in some ways. And crawling as I wait to hear from the contractor about my house repair.
Isn't that how it goes, when we are looking forward to something time crawls. Otherwise it speeds along. With Gary back you do have distractions, Boud!
Who knows what lurks in the mind of a cat! Have more ice cream:)
Cats are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get. ;)
I have the feeling life is going to pick up speed considerably in my near future. So glad...even if it is exhausting! LOL! :)
I agree. I don't live this far up north for nothing. Tropical heat was not part of the deal--lol! ;)
Mercy likes re-arranging the hall pantry and sometimes tearing around at 4 AM!
I even read about your Minnesota weather today on Bluesky of all things.
Yes, time is zipping by! I figure at least I'm absorbed in life and not bored.
Ok, I had ice cream after lunch, Far Side!
HA!. Your life is going to be a whirl wind for awhile, Rita. What is the point of living far north if you don't get the benefit of a nice summer?
It's a good thing Gatto and Mercy never met, e!
We are famous, AC! Or is it infamous?
I need a page out of your book, Cheerful.
Racing back and forth from one end of the house to the other? That's one restless cat! Does he also race up and down the garden?
He has moments or minutes where he is a crazed beast. Then he sleeps. He is a house cat so he doesn’t go outside, nick
This year we actually have some blueberries! if we only had some ice cream. I'm not looking forward to the next week of heat and humidity. Hopefully we will get some rain. We have a lot of good friends around here...makes meals so much easier. Glad you were able to mow your lawn.
The pictures of food are amazing - I feel myself gaining weight just looking at them! And yes, how does time go by so quickly?! It's a mystery to me!
