I support President Trump. In years past when a new president was elected the UNITED States actually united together for the good of the people and our union. Sad that the far left is so far left that they cannot support the elected president.
I know you are sincere in your belief. But I ask you, think if this were, say, Obama, doing exactly what Trump is doing. I do remember anytime Obama signed an executive order there was a cry of dictator from a segment of our population. The person who has the title of president openly says he is the president of only those who support him. He openly says he is shutting down all departments of government the democrats like. He openly talks of going after his detractors. This is not how a Democratic Republic operates, Far Side. We are constitutionally guaranteed the right to redress our government. The founders wanted the people to oppose the government when it's felt necessary. You may not, don't, agree, which is your constitutionally guaranteed right, but that does not negate our right to protest. That, friend, is autocracy.
Well said, Sandra! I copied your response and sent it to my daughter. Our gathering is from 3 to 4 this afternoon. We're a small town so it won't be huge, but I will be there.
Always interested in which policies he has implemented or stomped on are condoned by supporters. Is it the wish to protect pedophiles? Take away meals from hungry children? Watch people perish from lack of medical care? Be kidnapped off the streets for being too brown? Overturning the Constitution? Do tell, which of these is your favorite?
Pleased to see the massive national turnout for the No King rallies. Trump is openly rejecting democratic checks and balances and doing his best to take over the country.
I saw coverage of the protests on the news last evening. There seems to have been a good turnout and I hope the desired results are achieved. The country we once knew hardly seems recognizable any more.
With respect, it is foolhardy and potentially dangerous to support a person simply because he or she was elected. Dictators and tyrants the world over, throughout history, have used this route to tyranny. Hitler was duly elected, and we all know how that ended.
I stand for the freedoms allowed us in the Constitution and not for tearing it apart and limiting freedoms because someone is of a different skin tone, a different way of life, or religion or viewpoint. The US was built on immigration and conflicting ideas, but always freedom.
The protest was in Minneapolis this time instead of at the State Capitol and the turnout was huge, David. It's mind-boggling how many not only accept it, but welcome it.
I don't understand how he is defended as he openly and gleefully shreds our system of government, the forward steps we had taken in equality of all people and those against this are traitors. Haters of America, Val. I have trouble understanding this.

Exactly! Heading of to a No Kings event in one hour!
Happy No Kings Day!!! :)
I can’t be there but Boud shared a link to online participation. I signed up.
Yes. Happier when there is no king, Rita.

I went to the online event and spoke a bit, too. It was so satisfying to take part.
Big thumb's up Sandra. Looks like an excellent turn out.

Hats off to you Sandra and thank you!

Small town, large city. It all matters, Cheerful.
Good for you, Boud!!
A huge, peaceful turnout, Denise.
Perhaps the country is waking up, nick.

Those of us unable to be there still support the fight for democracy any way we can.

Yes indeed, I was very proud of everyone.
22 people were arrested for violence toward the protesters, Denise. Zero arrests of protesters. I saw a video of one incident.
