Onward

Mark had an online CPE (continuing professional education) yesterday and, of course, his computer was uncooperative. I set it up on mine, meaning I was offline, other than the phone, all of Tuesday. He will be buying a new computer, which is a whole other story.

This is Tuesday morning's sky. It was even more dramatic in person.

Aggression on the part of ICE is ramping up. There seems to be a propensity for people being dragged from their vehicles. It's very thoughtful of the Supreme Leader to encourage Iranians to continue the protests, isn't it?

Have a lovely day. It's cold here.

A new computer is never fun. I bought a new on in October 2024 and am still moving files from the old one!
It does look cold there. I commented on Crumbly Acres blogthis morning about Helen Hoover's books. Have you read them? She homesteaded with her husband in northern Minnesota in the 50s.

Coming soon, to a town near you...

Don't think we can avoid this craziness.
I wonder why they aren't raiding TX, FL, and most red states?
Encourage others to protest but not allow us our freedom of speech?

:(

I'm campaigning to get homeland security abolished, starting with defunding ICE.

We just got a new computer for Christmas b/c Tim's last pc lost 10 hours of his writing work on an old computer that was on the way out for awhile now.

Thanks for your kind words about the noodles. Crazy fun. The cavatelli freezes well too, if you get a chance to make that. Sooo fun. Also works with gnocchi dough.

This reminds me so much of History replaying itself. We are in the beginning stages of the New Brown Shirts".

It's ever so slowly becoming a police state.

And now the FBI have raided the home of a journalist, despite the convention that journalists' homes are left alone.

Those skies warm our cold spirits a little bit.

Beautiful photos. I haven't completely given up hope yet. It depends on whether they can stop the elections.

Wow! The photos are gorgeous! As for Minnesota....I cry when I watch the news. Is Mark a Mac person? I was able to follow the directions and transfer everything from my old Mac to the new one by myself. It took hours, but it worked perfectly.

Sandra said...

I have a Mac, which was simple to transfer from one to the other. Mark has a Dell so I don't know what to expect, Sue. I have not heard of the writer and I will look into her books. Thanks.

We actually did not have a large crime rate. Crime? Of course. Out of control. No.The criminals are wearing kevlar vests, masks and carrying weapons, Val. He has openly said he will punish the blue states.

When it was established during Bush 2 it gave me a creepy, eerie feeling, just by the name. There was a European country that used the term 'Homeland'. Who knew it would lead to this, Boud.

Thank you, Viola.

I need to purposely set aside a day for pasta making, Ivy. My mind is scattered lately.

Sandra said...

We are, Tommy. I don't scare easily but I am afraid of where this is going.

Sandra said...

Not so slowly, Pixie. It's very much ramped up.

I read that, nick. Unprecedented. Not surprising. This is all unprecedented.

There are moment where I can lose myself and everything else, like gazing at something like this, AC.

No state is immune, but if he doesn't have grudge against the state it's less likely but not impossible, Dora.

Sandra said...

Thank you, Linda.

I am not feeling much hopefulness at the moment, Cheerful. When the brown shirts are in your own backyard it feels rathe personal. I frankly don't know where this is going but at the moment it doesn't look good.

I'm on the verge of tears all the time, Lori. My son and DIL are in the immediate area of this. The latest shooting took place in his part of Mpls. It's difficult to focus on blogs.

Mark has a Dell. I had an easy time when I got a new Mac a couple of years ago. The new just transferred everything from the cloud. I think I just needed a few key strokes. I don't think it will be that easy with his.

Those are beautiful skies and as for the other, fear and cruelty is their mantra. There seems to be some pushback from politicians, I hope upon hope they continue and grow.

There are two options, Denise; stand up or fall down the abyss of authoritarianism.
