Let it Snow

March

This is standard March weather. Wednesday will be 50 F. March is like riding the rollercoaster. Snow is expected throughout today and all day tomorrow. Later the wind starts to howl so there will be blizzard conditions. We have no need to leave home.

    1. I like snow, especially since I don't have to drive in it. Living in Atlanta was an experience. There would be a little bit of snow and people were going off the roads!

  2. I checked our state traffic map and I haven't seen so many black lines on the roads as with this storm. Black means travel not advised.
    I'm not travelling of course.
I'm keeping dry hay out in front of the gals and they are wearing snow/ice coats!

    1. It's 1 F right now, Val. It looks like about 8". Today's snow isn't going to happen. Those snow/ice coats act like insulation.

  3. We are on the southern end of this storm so we're getting 50-70 mph winds and storms later this afternoon. Then the temps drop to the teens tonight and we have a chance for snow tomorrow.

  6. I love when it's snowy and cold and I don't have to leave for anything. That's the best. Spring is like that here too. Also, yesterday freezing. Today windows open. Not a complaint. I don't mind at all.

  7. Snow looks lovely until it turns into muddy slush.

  8. We haven't had snow that stuck but we are in a cycle of unseasonably high temperatures that plummet in a heartbeat to below freezing. Enough Mother Nature. Pick a lane!

  10. Still very windy around here, but no snow so far. I'm just waiting for the power to go off. Tomorrow we may hit 66 and then on Wednesday a high of 28. This weather is insane!!!!!

  11. I thought it was warmer then it actually was today, so I got quite chilled on our walk. Temps will rise tomorrow, but unfortunately there will also be rain.

    1. Rain at this time of year is the worst, AC. No walk for you, I think.

  13. Oh my goodness, so pretty and yet a lot of hard work. Tomorrow we are promised very windy weather and a tornado watch. We haven’t had one of those in a long time.

    1. I'd rather the snow than a tornado, Denise. Hopefully it won't happen.

    2. Thanks Val, all the hype we were given, it thankfully didn’t materialize, nor the expected high winds. Best to be safe though :)

  14. Thank you for keeping the snow and all that goes with it at YOUR house!! Beautiful pictures.

The weather is beginning to warm here. We did not get any snow or ice this year. (NOT complaining.) As it warms up, I feel better physically, so I won't complain, or not too much, about the rain. All the daffodils and hyacinth are up in the front yard, the iris is starting to send out green stuff.

    1. You are very welcome, Ami! We could have spring pop up next month or it could be June. It has tended to be earlier over the last decade or so.

  16. We only had a light dusting on Saturday, but it did look lovely on the trees for about 2 hours then all was gone Today was an all-day rain event and I suspect remaining piles of snow will have been greatly diminished. I had no need to go anywhere so backed bread, made soup and did house cleaning. The last one was my least favorite. Your snowfall does look lovely.
