We got rain! The storm part of it was to the east, but it rained. The downside, why is there always a downside, is 90 F/32 C and smothering humidity. I usually don't remember dreams but I have a vague memory of yard work and satisfaction. Starting tomorrow as we cool down.
Wildflower seeds are showing life, yippee, so I'll place that in the for-now-win column. I plan to paint the veranda (Mark insists it's a veranda) floor tomorrow. I've planned to do this since 2020. Can't jump into these things you know.
That dinner looks delicious. It's been super-hot and humid here. I hear talk of a cool front coming Thursday and staying for a few days. I love to hear that.
ReplyDeleteWe have the same, Lori. Tomorrow starts a cooler trend at least for a week. Dinner was good.
DeleteYour meals always look so appetizing. What makes a veranda? A terrace? A patio? I never really know.
ReplyDeleteIt was good and simple, Boud. Mark calls it a veranda so he knows what I'm talking about. We have a deck, a screened porch and an open porch. He gets confused!
ReplyDeleteI’m glad you got some rain, even with the heat and humidity. The wildflower seeds coming up is a nice win. Your broccoli chicken looks good.
ReplyDeleteIt may rain again today, Jane. Yippee!!
DeleteYum! I had chicken, broccoli, rice and other veggies last night, but mine were just dumped on a plate and didn't look as pretty as your meal!
ReplyDeleteHot, humid, ick today.
We were on the same wavelength,Val!
DeleteYour meals always look so tasty and the presentations are lovely, Sandra.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice thing to say, Linda. Thank you.
DeleteYou are still on a roll. Speaking of that, I too, love egg rolls.
ReplyDeleteVietnamese egg rolls are my absolute favorite, Lori.
DeleteSo sorry about the humidity! Please take care. That dinner looks scrumptious.
ReplyDeleteHigh of 68 today, Cheerful!
DeleteI struggle with titles I gave it up, and just put the date, and This Is What Happened.
ReplyDeleteYou are wise, Dora.
DeleteI have that same vase, in green. It's my favorite for roses and peonies.
ReplyDeleteYour dinner looks downright edible! As for the weather, same yuck stuff here. I do not like it at all. But glad dor the rain.
We have similar taste, Sue.
DeleteAbsolutely, you can't just jump into things. Then where would we be?
ReplyDeleteOver a cliff, nick!!
DeleteWe’re having similar weather. It will be cooler next week.
ReplyDeleteIt's much cooler today, AC. More rain predicted.
DeleteOh my goodness your food looks good. Broccoli 🥦 I love to bits. So good. Excellent on the win love that.
ReplyDeleteThanks about our back deck. I spend a lot of time out there. Got an idea to build a better deck tible bar thing depending on price and good options. We like to sit there and write. Read and draw and I'm a big time sit and daydream on the back deck, gal.
Wasn't sure what I wanted for lunch. Gonna go with a broccoli dish and use up the last of the bottom shelf rice, millet quiona combo. Thanks for the inspo!
Broccoli and asparagus are my favorites, Ivy. You have a gorgeous setting for enjoying your deck. It's obvious you have put some hard work into sanding it.
DeleteThose are two good ones! So I took leftover millet, rice and quinoa added fresh broccoli along with homemade chunky salsa and did a pot in put instant pot cook. Delish!
DeleteYum!
DeleteLove your still life with that pretty background, beautiful flowers. I'm glad your wildflower seeds are showing results. You've given me an idea to throw some in our garden and thank you for that. Glad you got your rain. We had some too and now have a very humid day. Your food photo looks delicious! We are having a stir fry for our dinner.
ReplyDeleteWe are well behind on rainfall, Denise, but I am thankful for every drop we get. I don't know why I don't do stir fry more often. Caught in a mental rut, I guess.
DeleteDinner looks yummy. Hope you made enough for company! I used to like painting, but it's been a good number of years now since I've done any. I think I'm too stiff nowdays to do it. Good luck with your project.
ReplyDeleteSorry, Sandy, I had the rest for lunch! My last painting work was done in 2020 at my mother's house. There was a lot that year.
DeleteHubby is away...and I ran to the store to pick up things he doesn't care to eat. One of which is egg rolls! Now you have me thinking that I'm gonna have an egg roll for breakfast! Yum! Glad you guys got rain and that your wildflowers are being nourished. Laughing at the hesitancy to 'jump in' and paint the floor. I have a lot of those projects around our house! Have fun...get 'er done! You'll love it afterwards!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if there's anything Mark won't eat, Dreaming! I think egg rolls sounds like a perfect breakfast.
DeleteThat dinner looks delicious. Best wishes my Slovenija, Hug Andreja!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Andreja. Your blog is a peaceful respite.
