Que Sera Sera

Yesterday was another of "those" days for me. More rain is forecast today, we do need it. The grass has suddenly become green and long in places. The fauna and flora desperately needed moisture.

My mind is roiling with the hits it takes daily, even with limited exposure to news. I am at a loss as to how there can be anyone supporting the unconstitutional and unlawful acts of the power players in our country. My mind is blown and not in a good way.

Anyway, I will have plenty to do outside once the rain ends and it dries a bit. I'll do as much as my uncooperative back will allow. Until then, I continue to putter, cook and listen to books.

That sounds like a good program for now. Just keeping your balance is good. And your food always looks so interesting.

All the lies and hatred. And a lot of people love it. But there are still things we can do. That’s what we need to focus on.

It was raining lightly again today and has greened up considerably!

I hope your back allows you to do all your pressing outside jobs.

Sandra, I feel exactly the same way. I am in a state of disbelieve at what is happening in our country the lawlessness and lies.
I do hope your back is getting better.
Take Care,
Kaye

It's about all I can do Boud.

The anger and hate is startling, Cheerful. It seems a terrible way to live, so angry all the time.

I was able to get a little mowing in, Rita. Puttering and streaming is a pleasant way to spend a day.

Probably not all Nic, but some!

It's hard to process how easily the government collapsed, Kaye. The Constitution relies on the honor and moral compass of the elected. That was a serious mistake.

The grass is suddenly green and the Rees are beginning to catch the spirit.

I'm with you! Who would think we would have to worry about being safe? Glad you felt well enough to mow. Our grass has grown like cray and I mowed on Monday....we have had rain a couple of times and have millions of dandelions. I know I would love what you had for dinner.

I thought I commented, but I guess I didn't.

Here is a funny that has nothing to do with the news.

There was a song called Que Sera Sera and when I was little I thought they were singing... 'kay Sara Sara....
Sara was the name of my sister. I was so excited that she had her own song.
Imagine finding out it wasn't true!

Try to have a good day.

It will all come out in the wash, I have enough on my plate with a sick husband. Politicians come and go some good some bad. Oh well.

Oh gosh your food looks so delicious!

Instead if spending much time on the news, aside from a read through in the early am, I prefer to read blogs, read books, plan a meal and even do house chores.

That happened here this week when we finally got rain, AC.

All hail the king, right, Lori? Dandies will be popping up soon. I stuffed lumaconi shells with ricotta and spinach. Pretty good stuff.

Sandra said...

HA!!! That's a great story, Val. It was Doris Day singing to her son. I like kay Sara Sara.

You have a lot on your plate, Far Side.

Sandra said...

Coming from you, Miss Merry, I am flattered!

It's hard to avoid, Dorothy, but I try.

Your food is lovely. How is your back?

Sandra said...

Thanks, e. I'm getting better.

That looks incredibly yummy. I know the news can be mind-numbing. When my relatives were here during my blog break, we rarely touched the news and I felt better for it. Since they left, the need to know what certain people are up to is a pull for me. I wish it wasn’t so as it is one outrageous act after another. As I said, mind numbing but maybe that’s their strategy, one part of it anyway.

It probably is part of the strategy, Denise. Chaos. It must have been wonderful to see you relatives and be able to spend time with them.
