Trudging Along

Mark and Tabby having a moment of contemplation.

I was zoned out yesterday. I don't know what I did. I have a feeling of impending doom which I cannot happy think away. I will tell you that I am trying. Ah, well.....

I go to the clinic today so I can get a prescription renewed. I'm going to ask her about a referral to pain management. She, the NP, had suggested I try dry needling and I have decided to do so.

It's been cold, in the minus numbers overnight and low teens during the day. I think it's supposed to get colder as the week goes on. It's a good thing the propane tank was filled last week, we go through it fast this time of year. Last evening I made a comfort meal out of leftover pork loin roast. Not a pretty photo but it was a pretty good, warming meal. Gravy makes everything better. Even a down and out mood.

I love the man and cat pic, and I can tell you that dry needling did some good for my legs problems. I am thinking of getting another treatment, which will be on my own dime this time.

Now I have to look up dry needling. Maybe acupuncture or something. If it helps it's worth trying.

The cats adore Mark. He is Cat-Man-Do, AC! I'm going to give it a try.

I've had quite a bit of acupuncture years ago. I did help but I had have it done often. I'll see how the dry needling goes, Boud.

Love the pic! :)
You had me googling. I only had acupuncture once to try to quit smoking long, long ago. Didn't work. This dry needling sounds very specific. Got the info from Mayo, so I figure it is good. Gosh, you'll have to tell us all about it! (BTW--I did quit smoking in 1989--long story, but it wasn't due to acupuncture--lol!)

Dry needling doesn't hurt, which is nice. I've even done it on myself, just the once when I had a huge knot in a muscle. It feels weird though.

That a lovely photo of Mark and his familiar:)

I tried dry needling and it helped for an hour maybe two. Some people have real good luck with it. So I hope you do too! The weather is rotten so very cold up here. Thankful for a heated garage that makes it seem warmer when we have to go out.

Good luck with the dry needling. Do tell us how it goes.

I had dry needling and it may hurt some right afterwards and you may want to smack the person doing it. However...after a few sessions on my right arm I stopped having pain.
It is weird and it worked very well for me.
The impending doom is something I understand.
So I distract myself with things that aren't doom-y if that is a help at all.
PS...yum. I still need a cook.
;)

PS...sss. the dry needling may ache depending on where it is done...I forgot to say. And everyone's experience is different.

I have not heard of dry needling. I shall look it up. I do hope it works for you.
It is a very calming photo of Mark and the cat.

Never heard of dry needling.. can you explain? Mark and Tabby look very comfortable...sorry you are zoned out and having those feelings. It happens. And this weather is keeping me in a funk too...not to mention achy! Tomorrow is another day....

I hope the down mood doesn't last too long. Please let us know how the dry needling works. Fingers crossed and prayers and hugs. ❤️

A lovely photo of the man and his cat! I've been making a lot of warm foods. The cold is supposed to spread this far south too. I hope your mood improves and the needling is helpful. Hugs from Mercy and me.

I've had acupuncture. It really worked but the relief was short term. I was a smoker until 1976 or 77. I just told myself you are quitting. It wasn't easy. I'm going to make an appointment today for the dry needling. And, good for you on quitting!

His familiar! I like that. I'm hoping it helps, Pixie. The NP told me it feels strange. I can handle strange.

I do remember you talking about it, Far Side. I hope I have good results. It is cold, but colder farther up there in the Northland.

I will do that, nick.

That's how I felt about deep tissue massage, Val. I cursed her name and a couple of days later I sang the hallelujah! I distract myself as much as I can, but it's still there, hovering.

So true, Dora.

I hope so, too, Kaye. That's Crabby Tabby being an adoring housecat.

She said it's sort of like acupuncture only it has a sensation coming through the needles. Yes, the weather doesn't help the mood, Lori.

I will do that, Cheerful. It helped to have a busy day yesterday.
