Angela, scary indeed. I really do despair for us. You got the words right.
julochka, I think everyone is too busy. I don't know why I don't use my china, crystal and silver, but I haven't for many years.
Missy, I used to collect bone china cups. Now I collect dust and dog hair.
Ganeida, there is a very conservative political movement that has developed over a couple of years that calls itself 'The Tea Party'. It's basically the Republican and Libertarian parties on steroids. Of course the Boston Tea Party was a response to corporate greed and control, but let's never mind the facts. I do believe we are going down the so-called drain.
I love tea in fine china. I miss the days when my mother served tea in her beautiful collection of cups and saucers. I also prefer the tea parties of yesteryear.
Surely you don't intend to invite Sarah to your tea party? Scary times, indeed! Only the truly refined of taste and sensibility should be allowed to touch those dainty delights.

Thanks for your kind words on my blog, I'm glad my post spoke to you. It took me forever to put my feelings into the right words.

Very clever--and don't get me started. It's such a bummer that we will forever associate tea parties with that much of numbskulls.
