Amazing Grace

Dogs are miracles with paws.
~Attributed to Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy

She had a turn around today of epic proportion. Her doctor said she should be able to come home tomorrow. Hallelujah! She will go back in a week for an endoscopy to determine what the underlying issue is.

The food he recommends is by Royal Canin and is available here at Chuck and Don's Pet Food Outlet. It's not overly expensive either. He recommended Chicken and Rice. He said that's all that's in it. Luckily for us, Mark drives past the Calhoun store once a week when he goes to play tennis, so he will pick some up tonight. She'll be on a prescription diet for awhile, but the other dogs can start on the new food.

So, strike up the band, the girl is back! (Almost)

Mark says she's a bag of bones, but that she was happy to see him. She has been sleeping a lot, which is understandable. She has sloughed off all of the dead intestinal lining, so that's a good thing. She will have another ultrasound this evening and if that looks good and she doesn't take a turn during the night, I can pick her up tomorrow.

I appreciate all of the concern and well-wishes sent for Grace.
