Beauty

I am a old movie buff. I know old movies and actors like an expert. There is something about the look and the dialogue that appeals to me. I sometimes used to think I was born into the wrong time.

Hedy Lamarr, is in my opinion, probably the most beautiful face to ever hit the silver screen. I remember the first time I saw her, she was playing an island girl involved in a doomed relationship with John Agar, and I was entranced by her.

She was born in Austria in 1914 to Jewish bourgeois parents; mother was a pianist and father a banker.

Sometimes one person gets it all. Not only was she beautiful and talented as an actress, she was very smart. She patented an idea which later led to wireless technology.

This is what going through stacks of books does, it leads me to rumination! I wanted to post this beautiful face, she is simply luminous.

A great quote from her:  "Any girl can be glamorous. All you have to do is stand still and look stupid."
