Waning Days of Summer

Fall is creeping upon us. This morning I awoke to a lovely fog wrapping the landscape in its moist countenance

aaaaagh! Don't say that! I'm not ready for winter! (Notice that I didn't say fall....because that season only lasts for 3 days here in MN).

I do enjoy fall, so I'm all for it. Too bad winter follows!

I've noticed the light shifting outside, the longer shadows, the cooler mornings. But I'm holding on to summer. These changes remind me to enjoy every last day.

I love this time of year and I am looking forward to a couple of beautiful months. It is surprising how early it gets dark!

I can't believe this! It is only 17 Celsius here today. I love fall to. I wish there was only 3 seasons and winter wasn't one of them!

I saw a meme that looked like fun so I have decided to try it and send it out to a few bloggers.

So, here is the ritual:

1) Open up you first photo album

2) Scroll down to the 10th picture.

3) Post that picture and write the story that goes with the picture.

I can't believe how cool it is and it's still August! What a gorgeous picture..not so sure I'm ready for fall because I know snow will fly shortly. THAT I'm not ready for but I do love the smell of fall...crisp everywhere.

We are just easing into spring around here and today just might be our first dip in the pool of the year : )
At least for Oscar and the girls!

Yes, but where did summer go?

Lorac, I'll play, but it will be later in the day...busy!

Alicia, I put the thought of winter out of my mind and simply enjoy the brief but beautiful couple of months ahead.

Ashley, once again I will be enjoying your pool shots in Jan.!

Jules, I don't know where summer went, I spent most of it in a cast. : ) You had a nice break in CO, so you got a little summer fun in. I was envious. : )
