I Am Officially Inducted......

into the Oddball Society. Wednesday was my first day to be loosed on the public since I broke my wrist. I have been wanting my hair cut. Even before I broke my wrist I wanted my hair gone, but washing hair one-handed is difficult so it became more urgent. I decide to take myself into Mound for a cut. The salon has lovely, stylish young women working there. My pretty, young stylist had elaborate body art (tattoos), stylish hair and dress. I, inadvertently, arrived in my slippers. Add this to my current broken wrist look; big tee shirts, sans undergarment, and loose sweatpants. Not an eye was batted, I was, seemingly, perfectly normal. Perhaps the cast encased arm in a sling aided me in my crazy oddball look being seen as so ordinary. I did not know I was wearing slippers until I got home and took off my 'shoes'. Fortunately I didn't have my pajamas and robe on as well.

Of course my current footware is not much better! But they do work for a one-handed person and are considered shoes, of a sort. It's good to be official.

I would blame it on the pain meds if I were you :)

I wish I could, but I am off them, as I was that day!

LOL....please pick me up off the floor...you are too funny! I just love wearing slippers and I often have to check my feet when I go out to be sure I put something else on.

My husband and I went to a wedding once and he had two different pairs of shoes on! Now I give him a good once over before he leaves the house. Obviously that day I did not..I do now!

Sooo...how did the haircut come out?

Congralations Sandra, it's been a long time coming...I'm following close behind.

I'm getting quite a picture of you there. Can't say I've been anywhere in my slippers; but then....I don't own any, so guess I'm safe that way.

Undergarments...scandalous I say, no doubt there will be a post about it in the local news. lol As I sit here in my jammies....

Sandy
how much longer before your cast etc is gone

I never wear slippers. I am officially barefoot all year round (inside the house, that is).

My crocs are blue. Those are the only thing that I enjoy on my feet. I hate for my toesies to be confined.

I am weird that way.

OH! And at least you weren't wearing the "jog bra" that Alicia has posted on her blog today.

If you ever do, I will personally drive down there and commit you to St. Peter's.

I wish I could have seen that. I have gone out to the car in the middle of winter and realized as I stepped out into the snow I had my slippers on. How is the haircut?

I am a mess! I have never wore two different shoes though! I have to admit I liked the idea for a sports bra on Alicia's blog. : ) Bare feet in the house over the winter in my house would result in frozen toes. My hair is really short, maybe 1" long. So since I put it in a ponytail last Nov. until Wed. I have had 12.5" cut off. I should have done it all at once so the hair could have been used.

A ponytail to cut it, I should sat. : )

Isn't it refreshing though, to have short hair? I love it when my hair gets cut short (it's usually about neck-length). Especially in the summer. I love a bare neck.

OMG..You are way too funny! I have often had dreams of wearing something really embarrassing but fortunately, they have never come to fruition...you know, the kind where you are naked in a crowd of people? I have run out of the house in a hurry and forgotten to put the pants on..seriously. My husband was sitting behind the wheel of the car pointing and laughing so hard..couldn't figure out why. Chalk it up to age! Who says we have to be fashion divas?? At least we're not sporting silver hoops out of our noses!

Alicia, don't give me ideas! No pants, didn't you feel the breeze. : ) I've never left the house without pants, at least not that \I'm aware of!
