Thursday's Thinks

I have learned two lessons in my life: first, there are no sufficient literary, psychological, or historical answers to human tragedy, only moral ones. Second, just as despair can come to one another only from other human beings, hope, too, can be given to one only by other human beings. ~ Elie Wiesel

Natasha Richardson
1963 - 2009

The untimely death of Natasha Richardson has left me thinking how tenuous our hold is on life. It's all a roll of the dice.

Any other thoughts can wait for another time.

  1. Thank you for putting into words what I was thinking this morning and last night. Especially after reading the new post on the Julie Project.......sigh

  2. I just read it. I had a neighbor die last year when he slipped on the ice and hit his head.

  3. My heart goes out to the kids. I just remember how hard it was for my nephew when my brother died. It's such a shock to the young to discover not even their parents are immortal.

I really appreciate the concept and sentiment behind awards, but I cannot participate in them anymore. I have too may and I have not got the time to devote to participating properly. To all who have honored me, I am grateful but I don't have seven more things to tell anyone about myself! And I'm a terrible passer-oner.
