When my son was a toddler he had a medical problem which put him in the hospital. I came into the room to find a child sobbing, large tears rolling down his face. "Mama, they put pins in me. PINS, mama, PINS!"
Chronic, unrelenting pain has changed my mind. I am tired of it. I want it to go away, even if just a little. So today they will put pins in me. If I don't faint first. Did I mention I become weak at the knees over needles and myself? Lordy.
This had better work.

My boy was 20 before I could even be in the room with him and a needle and now I do it myself. I still get queasy if I don't get a hit the first time.
I have been to an acupuncturist before and you really can't even feel it if you get a good guy. Just don't look.
Chronic pain sucks. So sorry.

Sandra, I'm a big believer. It cured me of chronic sinusitis (that and rinses) and did wonders for husband's MS.
I hope the needles give you some relief. I've been pondering them myself at the urging of friends who swear by the procedure. But I am no fan of needles and being the princess and the pea type, expect to find it very uncomfortable. But if it works, I'll suffer. I agree, chronic pain sucks. Please let us know how it went and hoping you feel better.

I am so glad you are going to do soemthing about your pain. Continued chronic pain will change everything about you,right down to the very sould of who youare as a person. Ask me how I know.

I've heard acupuncture works! Hope it does for you and that you are pain free soon :)
I hope you'll give it a good chance. Acupuncture has helped me enormously with stress and general balancing for years and years. It also helped my daughter to gain weight, be weaned from three medications and sleep through the night. I think it's very important to have an acupuncturist that is in tune with your body and self.
I sure hope you get relief from the pain.
Thank you everyone for your welcome support. I was nervous, but it went well. I did not feel the needles.
