Buongiorno amici miei.

I have been doing my Italian study, Cheerful! I've been offline for a couple of days to get some work done as well as to get away from the overwhelming, nonstop chaos. That is not possible, but less is best sometimes.

I've been working on finish refurbishing of my kitchen floor. There is no chance of having it sanded and refinished due to the kitchen sitting in the middle of the house. There is no chance of staying in a motel with six cats and I would never leave the place empty overnight because of the horses. So, I'm channeling my father and came up with a doable solution. Today will be spent applying tung oil.

We've had pasta and more pasta for dinner while I am at this. Quick and easy.

Shrimp, asparagus and pici pasta

Lobster ravioli with a browned sage butter sauce. Not the most photographic, but browned butter and sage is delicious. At least I think so.

Oh my, fancy pasta. And sounds and looks so delicious.
My floors are so worn but like you, no chance of sanding and refinishing. Maybe I should try tung oil too. I heard about it years ago at a hardware store where that was all they used on their floors. Mine, I just mop and use lemon oil from time to time. They aren't beautiful but they're functional.

I love that you came up with a good solution for the floor. I've not used tung oil before though have heard good things.

With regard to online stuff stressing you. Is it possible to delete those news aps and/or not go on those sites? When I come onto Blogger, I'm just on Blogger. It's wonderful. Nothing but fun reads.

Hope you find a system for that that works best for you.

It's funny when you get to be a certain age and you realize that you won't be replacing your floors again, that this is it. Love it or leave it. You chose love.
Your pasta looks beautiful!
