It seems obvious which cat hangs out with the two-legged critters.
She shows up when she wants to.
The first braise of the season. I'm out of carrots so the color is bland but the taste was not. A chuck roast and the last sweet corn of the season. We had a first and a last.
We will reach nearly 90 F/32 C today. The cities will likely reach 90. In October. In Minnesota. I'll say no more.

As always, I love your cooking. I made it at the Meat Store today; they sell beef, pork, stuffed mushrooms (boudin stuff, crab, and shrimp stuffed), and assorted Cajun delights. I hope you are feeling better. Oh btw, that corn would have made a great Corn Moceaux
What is going on with that heat? It isn't than way here. I even suspect that October may be somewhat colder than average so far. Today is pleasant though: sunny and in the 50s.
I find this October heat to be miserable and because I live in an agricultural area the Asian Beetles are invading every nook and cranny with the heat. They are looking for places to overwinter. They were brought in to eat aphids on soy bean plants, when the beans dry up and are harvested the darn things look to buildings to hide in.
Uffdah and we have a ton of boxelder bugs here too.
However, 85 is not normal for us!
My activities outside are early morning, and evenings now.
Bummer, it was such a good week!

We have been blessed with good weather! It has been in the high 60's and low 70's all week. I could live like this forever.

Climate change has been noticeable in this state, AC. We will have the same temp today.
We have always been overwhelmed with boxelders and for years they have been joined for years by the Asian beetles, Val. The building are covered by them. Yuck.

Yikes on that temperature, Sandra and it sure beats the mid 70s we had in Nashua, NH last week. Today is overcast with a high about 62, That meal looks more like a fall weather one than the heat you are having, but delicious anytime. And, of course, it's cat 🐈 day...everyday for you!
Every day is cat day! They are all so cute. Monday and Tuesday we are supposed to be 90 also. Then a cool front that will be very appreciated. I just wish we would get some rain.

I had to look Corn Moceaux up. It sounds good. Cajun food is something I know little about but maybe I should learn. Widen my interests. It's so wonderful to have a store like the one you have nearby. btw, you were in spam.
