Just Call Me Lazarus

Tuesday night I became more sick than I have recent memory of. I was unable to sleep at all and I scurried through the house like a scared little mouse trying to escape. By nine AM I was able to lay down and sleep for about four hours. When I got up I felt as if I had been hit by a bus and run over by a truck, but the gripping stomach pain and the endless waves of nausea had ceased.

So, this morning I feel better. I wouldn't say great, but I am back in the game of life. I have no idea what happened, but it was miserable. Thankfully Mark and Deb were able to care for the horses while I lay in my bed.

There truly is nothing like feeling better after a bout of illness, for a brief moment you realize how wonderful good health is. Then we go back to taking it for granted.

Oh I am so sorry! Being sick really is a humbling experience. I am so glad that you are feeling better. I hate those long nights waiting to feel better.

Hope you keep improving!

I was thinking about you last night while I was up on puppy watch! Maybe you have gallstones (that is if you have a gall bladder) been there done that.....

I have something. I am very painful in the area of the appendix. If it continues through the weekend I'll make an appointment with a DR. I have a very deep-seated distrust of the medical establishment, so it takes a lot to get me to see an MD, but I don't want to wait until I perhaps have a rupture. But, from my experience, I could get a pat on the head and a ruptured appendix, along with a large bill from the HMO.

You have puppies coming? Soon, from the sound of it.

We are expecting pups any moment, her temp dropped last night. I have quite a waiting list, we'll have to see how many people actually wait though.

It looks like Midwesthorsetalk changed to the other format - it's trying to load, but not quite getting there. I'll be sad to see it happen as it will limit my access to it.

I saw that! I clicked on this AM and there it was. Not being a member, my opinion doesn't count, but I liked the new posts category of the other format. You could look to see if something caught your eye.

Good luck with the puppies, I hope all your buyers come through.

Mark and Deb are doing turnout, I can't face it. I'll go out and help Deb clean, though. Easier to wield a manure fork than to handle a large beast in wind when you don't feel good.

Don't let an appendix go. My Mom did and she ended up in the hospital with an emergency surgery. Her symptoms were vomiting, and stomach pain. I had to literally FORCE her to go get it checked : ) She was all set to 'wait it out'. Oh well, I hope things take a turn for the better , if not, GO GET CHECKED OUT!!! : ) : )

If I'm not better by Monday I'll force myself to see a DR. I don't want emergency surgery. No surgery for that matter. : )
