Quote of the Day

"It is better to be a lion for a day than a sheep all your life."
Sister Kenny

My friend JeanRDH sent me this card and I found it to be such a striking image I wanted to share it online. The above quote is by Jean's great, great aunt. Not a bad family tree! I found this year that Jean has the heart of a lion.

  2. This image was striking to me in-particular because I have some mares that are lions in their heart. And my stallion Topper is a lion. I saw them transposed into this photo. Also, I have been banned from the barn for a week and I miss my horses. I walked outside a Kristina was taking Zing from the arena back to the barn yesterday to hug him and rub my hands in his sweaty smell. I wanted to be able to carry his scent on my hands for awhile. I get to go back to the barn next week. : )

  3. I have a heart like a vicious carnivore! Hehehe.

    Glad you liked the card.
At least you are close to your horses and can see them during your recovery. I hope that gives you some comfort.

    Off to stalk an antelope,

  4. You know what I meant and you know you are strong and determined. You don't need to eat antelopes, either. I have the heart of a lion and have had enough adversity in my life to tell me so. There are people you want on your side when things go wrong and I would chose you.

I really appreciate the concept and sentiment behind awards, but I cannot participate in them anymore. I have too may and I have not got the time to devote to participating properly. To all who have honored me, I am grateful but I don't have seven more things to tell anyone about myself! And I'm a terrible passer-oner.
