A bouquet of basil.
I picked it, didn't feel like doing anything with it at the time. It's a bouquet for the moment. It's been chilly this week. Next week we jump up to the mid-to-upper 70s F. The leaves on the ash trees are already changing color. Autumn is on the way. We had a good rainfall last evening, which was very timely as everything needed a watering.
Tripod kitty doesn't really care about any of this. Her biggest concern is that her servants remain obedient. We've been well trained, she needn't worry.
I roasted more tomatoes and think I will use them on a pizza for this evening's dinner. This sounds like a plan. You know your world has shrunk when the plan for the day comes down to what's for dinner. Ah, well. A day in the life.

One of my friends had a Florida condo for winters. They'd meet neighbors at the pool after breakfast and discuss what they were planning for dinner!
I envy your cool and sunny outdoor walking weather, as it's still extremely hot and muggy around here.
Sad but oh so true, Boud. 😄
I can't say I'm not enjoying it, Shirley!
Cats 🐈 are great, why we love ❤️ them so much. It is cooler here in Montreal as well and a relief.
Who knew basil could look so pretty in a vase?
Always love seeing your cats.
Pizza sounds good.
Enjoy the cooler weather. :)
When I pictured retirement I never thought my whole focus would be a grocery budget, food shopping, and meal planning.
Your basil makes a cute bouquet and I love the lace doily! Tripod kitty is sweet and your coming meal sounds delicious. My sister-in-law gave us her whole harvest of cherry tomatoes. We were talking about doing something similar with them. I don't want a single one to go to waste. We don't get fresh-picked tomatoes too often.
