It's soup season.
So the time for bringing in the plants, putting away the outdoor furniture, getting the windows washed is upon us. I haven't had a fire yet because I have no wood. Oh, there are plenty of downed trees, just not cut up downed trees. The guy just keeps saying soon. I need to find a repair person for the wood pellet stove. A new auger motor was installed last year, it worked for a while but the auger stopped turning again. Hopefully I can find someone, it puts out a lot of heat.
That's the news from the old homestead.

After all the hassle the stove auger isn't working again? I wonder if it's a design flaw.
I don't bring in outdoor chairs, no place for them. I turn them over!
Soup I can sign on for though.
Yes, not working again. We have outbuildings so they get put away. When we didn't we as as you do.
For the first time this morning I thought about turning on the heat. Not quite yet but we're getting there. Good luck with your stove and wood!
We have a little bit of garden work to do and will try to get at some of it tomorrow.
I don't make soup...but I ought to. When my friends show pictures of their soups....I am always jealous! Such a great 'warming' meal!
I just made a crockpot full of beef soup yesterday. Shared with Dagan and the boys. Definitely that time of year. I like soup all year round, but it is especially delicious when there's a chill in the air.
