Mark went to the funeral of his Aunt Marlys on Saturday. She was married to one of his triplet uncles who proceeded her in death. This was on the back of the funeral program. She was an extremely kind, caring person. She was diligent in her help and care of the needy, not only here, but in other countries. She lived her faith.
I decided to post this here, on the day a woman was murdered in South Minneapolis by an ICE agent. Agent sounds not right. An ICE thug. He shot her in the face as she was driving away from them. He shot her in the face multiple times.The excuse is she tried to run them down. Fortunately, there is video and many witnesses. I have seen the video. It was murder. Her vehicle was parked across the road, the agents got out of the truck and approached her. One grabbed the door and told her to "get the fuck out of the car". She pulled out from where she was with wheels clearly turned away from them. There was no one in front of her vehicle. The guy who ordered her out shot her through the driver's window.
What have we become? How is it ok to have masked people in military garb, carrying weapons swarming our streets? Is this what one would expect in a free, democratic country? It eerily looks like a militant autocracy. No this is not "Trump Derangement Syndrome" on my part. This is in your face public brutality. The type of operations one would find in the counties with rulers. Totalitarian rulers. I am ashamed. I am deeply saddened.

Heller said she heard ICE agents telling the driver, a woman, to "get out of here."
"She was trying to turn around, and the ICE agent was in front of her car, and he pulled out a gun and put it right in—like, his midriff was on her bumper—and he reached across the hood of the car and shot her in the face like three, four times," Heller told MPR."
Yep, they are trying to hire as many people as possible to do the deportations and don't want anyone getting in the way. All the old norms are being blown up.
I have watched videos from all angles. She backed up to leave, motioned a car to the left to go first, then motioned to the car behind them to go. That car was an unmarked ice vehicle. They jumped out and as she turned in the opposite direction, two men ran up to her window and one shot her several times in the face killing her. I saw it. We all saw it.
She is the mother of a four year old.

Immediately trump gave a press conference where he stated she ran over the officers foot. A total lie. Then that brown haired botox woman who is in charge of ice gave press conference where she said something about the men in a snowbank and the woman attacking them?
I am embarrassed to be an American. I am sick to my stomach. Is this what we have come to?
I suppose they will protest in the streets , burn flags and police stations again. I saw the video and I also saw an officer in front of her vehicle...if she had stopped her vehicle and got out she would still be alive.
Sad day. It was murder, and we don't blame the victim.

As an officer, we were trained in the use of lethal force. The ICE Agent did not follow the rules of Imminent Threat. It is our right to protest in the streets. ICE and the gov't are taking away our freedoms with fear and killings. It is pretty simple.
It is not legal to shoot someone who is fleeing.
The state should seek murder charges against the officer.
Period. Because the DOJ and the Feds won't.
The rules of engagement in that situation call for letting the person go and charging them later with obstruction of justice or whatever.
The rules of Lethal Force do not allow for the shooting of an unarmed person who is trying to flee.
I took 10 yrs of law enforcement rules and regulations as an armed officer guarding a facility. At no time could we draw our weapon for any other reason other than circumstances that had our lives put it full and clear danger of death or severe bodily harm.
It's disturbing watching the news, armed men in the streets, kidnapping a foreign leader, talk of taking over more countries. WTAF!
