Democracy in Action

Minneapolis, Minnesota. Where my son lives. Where I have lived. Twenty minutes from where I now live. There has not been violence against these thugs. They perpetuate violence. They are met with chanting, yelling, swearing, anger. They are not met with violence. I fear the rise in what was already over-the-top aggression is going to lead to what the whole point of this seems to be. Someone is going to snap. Then we will see if democracy can stand.

I actually watched a Livestream of this yesterday for hours ... really I was transfixed by the actions of the Goon Squad who were just throwing tear gas at people who were chanting and screaming at them.
This was immediately after the murder of another Minnesotan.

How can a crowd of people NOT get angry when people are murdered in their neighborhoods or treated like this?

This is not keeping Americans safe at all.

I also watched yesterday. This has been happening since they got here. It’s just getting more attention. I am so angry, Val. The neighborhoods they have been targeting are not in anyway “gang territory “ which is probably why. They are cowards.

I never thought Minnesota would be our front lines. But I also never doubted the people would meet the moment. I have such respect for their -- your -- courage and patriotism.
