Unfortunately, Blogger has stopped my comments again. Yesterday I was able to comment on a few blogs and then I couldn't. Today is another day of silence from moi. So, I'll just have to talk about myself.
The sciatic nerve pain has greatly reduced, but not gone. Being put off your feet as an, um, elder really can quickly set back progress made over a couple of years. Regaining that progress is not so quick.
We had a wonderful daylong rain on Monday, which was very much needed. We are starting to look like spring. It's currently 42 F and sunshine. It should be dry enough tomorrow to mow the lawn, which is swiftly becoming a hay field. The gates have been opened to the pastures, allowing the horses to adjust to grass while it starts to grow. Life is trundling along. That said, the anxious dread many are feeling is persistently hovering.
I don't know why I rarely make a casserole. I need to talk to myself about this. They are so easy it's really not cooking at all. Some leftover chicken, a little bacon, asparagus, artichoke hearts and of course, onion and garlic. Voila! Dinner. And there is enough for two more meals.
Chin up, face the day with as much gusto as we can muster.
*I was able to comment to my blog on the phone. I may need to figure out a plan to use both my phone and computer together. I can't read them on my phone, my hands and eyes protest.*

I like hearing your account of spring prep. Meanwhile blogger has taken to deleting my own replies on my own blog. I have to reenter them. Then sometimes they appear twice. It makes a person seem a bit slow on the uptake.
I wonder why blogger does this seemingly randomly. You always make supper look nice, no matter what you cook. We had leftovers last night too, but not so pretty.
Your Hotdish looks good, my husband would not eat it because of the vegetables. The only green veg he eats is green beans with crisp fried bacon and a bit of vinegar:)
Again that beautiful china. And your meal looks so delicious! It is cold and raining here today and a nice hot dish would be perfect.
This not being to comment is crazy and drives me nuts. I will make this short because the fail to publish will rear its ugly head.
Take Care,
Kaye
Dear Sandra, your meal looks delicious! I am glad your pain is reducing, hopefully it will dissipate entirely!
As for Blogger, thankfully I have had no issues with comments. I have noticed, though, that the news feeder/reader is out of whack.
For example, when anyone makes a new post whether it is done beforehand or published immediately, there is a delay of it appearing in the news reader! However, it will appear immediately on your blog itself...but since there is a delay in the news reader, people don't know your new post is up until it appears in the reader.
I like how you think when doing your casseroles. I love casseroles! Sorry you are still having problems with commenting, it can be very frustrating. I have heard others who have had the same problem off and on, and I had that problem last year. I also had an issue further back where my replies to comments disappeared, and actual commenters disappeared. Touch wood, all seems to be okay in the moment, but I may have jinxed myself. I'll continue to wish you relief from your sciatic nerve pain and hope it disappears entirely very soon. I keep seeing relief remedies online but not sure about their authenticity. I can send them if you like?
I'll say it again! I absolutely love your writing style!!!!! Reading your posts gives me great pleasure. So glad you are gradually getting relief from your pain. And of course....a big yum. I know so many women who don't cook anymore.
Silly blogger. I couldn't log into one blog, but I think I was able to leave anonymous comment. Can you do that, or are comments simply not at all available?
Take care. Yes, keeping our spirits up nowadays can be a real challenge. ❤️
I don't have much to offer you one way or another. But I sure hope the pain reduces and you get back on your feet. Injury recoveries are not easy.
It hasn't deleted my replies, yet, only refuse to publish, Boud. It's astonishing how swiftly grass grows in springs few days ago nothing. Now it's a hay field.
Using the old china snakes things up a bit, Pixie. At the moment I have been able to leave one reply, two if this one posts.
He wouldn't fare well here I'm afraid, FS.
This china belonged to my now deceased good friend's grandmother. My friend stopped by on her way to donate it to a thrift store. Me being me told her she didn't want to do that, it belonged to her grandmother. She wouldn't be convinced so I told her I'd keep it for here incase she changed her mind. She did not. It sat in the box for 20 years until I decided to use it as my daily tableware, Miss Merry.
It has been highly annoying, Kaye.
Both Mark and I liked the casserole. I need to do this more often, Lori. It seems there is always one issue or another and they sort of rove.
I'm pleased you think I have a style, Lori! I wonder if schools still have what we called HomeEc? It should be a required class at least one year for both the boys and girls. Knowing the basics is important. What a person wants to do with the knowledge later is up to them, but at least they have it.
Glad to know the sciatic pain has reduced. Hopefully it will reduce further. I've never had much trouble with Blogger, only problems with commenting on one occasion. Fingers crossed for the glitch to repair itself.
Your dinner does look delicious. I hope you're feeling better soon.
Glad that the pain is easing a bit, Sandra, and now you have me wondering why I do not make casseroles but maybe I should as I have a cookbook on them. We would have leftovers for a couple of meals as well.
Did you mean Linda? :)
Sorry about the issue with blogger.
I hope that the concern is fixed for you soon. Casseroles are great, love when people fix them. But I rarely make any.
Why don't we think of this, Dorothy. It's so easy and can be prepared in advance.
I was not able to comment on this until today, Denise. Odd.
I sure did. I'm just a touch addled, Linda!
Back on today, AC.
It's been more than a challenge for me lately, Cheerful.
I'm surprised how quickly I've lost ground, Val. It is disheartening.
I hadn't either, nick. It's been unreliable lately.
Thank you, Lori.
It seems ok today, Dora.
I don't know why I don't make them more often, they are simple, Tommy.
I want to eat at your house! That casserole sounds awesome.
I both read blogs and write my blog on my phone, but I am probably not doing my eyes any favor.
