Yesterday slipped away from me. There was PT, then lots of errands. The Culligan man came out to change the filters on the reverse osmosis system, I made bread and spent time talking on the phone. Yep, I still do that. Before I knew it, there was late afternoon and I was done for the day. I never did get here to see what was up.
Gatto and Frieda spend considerable time bird watching. Frieda is a chirper as she dreams of the hunt. Gatto just watches. We've had a lot of rain. Somewhere around six inches. The grass is long, the gardens are overtaken and everything is emerald green. Unfortunately, with the rain comes the humidity. It will be hot and the air will be thick with that punishing moisture for probably the rest of the summer. I feel the weather of the South has moved north. Ah, well.
Last evening was another quick and easy meal made from leftover pork loin roast. Right up my alley.
I've got a bunch of things I need to do before the heat ramps up. I will check in with everyone later today. Until then, stay cool.

If there weren't any viewing windows, cats would invent them.
Summer has arrived. Our AC is running.
Stay as cool as possible!
Rain here today, but no humidity, so far. The prediction was for a 90-degree day but it never reached 80 degrees, yeah. The cats do look contented. leftovers are always welcomed in our home as well. Bread making will be in a couple of days as you are the second blogger to mention making one recently.
You deserve a day off!!! We have reached the wet and humid. God Bless air conditioning!
Yup! I had to turn on the AC a little while ago. Sticky and hot.
So grateful I have AC that works here. One good thing about this apartment. :)
It was very 'muggly' this morning and yesterday. Whew. I did turn on the AC but then had to turn it to dehumidify as our concrete slab under the house sends dampness up into the house.
I'm giving yard work the stink eye and threatening the grass and weeds. Not that it will help.
Your meal looks delicious.
No rain here.
The Mormon owned newspaper The Desert News, condemned Mike Lee (sen.) for his crude, hateful and false comments about the political assassinations in MN. He is big maga guy and he should have been rebuked for many hateful and false statements that he makes all the time. I am grateful that the the paper stood up this time. It could not have printed it without the Mormon churches approval, so I am told . I do not take this paper at subscribe to The Salt Lake Tribune.
I love the photo of the cats looking out the door.
Stay Safe,
Kaye sorry for long comment
Today we had some rain too. There was flooding at a friends property and a section of the Thruway was under water. In a few days, we should be in the 90s for awhile and that does not make me very happy. Of course I would love your dinner.
Your cats have the right idea.
Truth, Boud.
I assume that does not mean you, AC!
I'll try, Cheerful.
We are in for a few very hot and humid days, Dorothy. You are fortunate to be having temperate weather.
I've been trying to stick to chores, Miss Merry. It's not easy.
You will be saying adios to that apartment soon, Rita!
My yard will have to remain shaggy until next week. It's way to hot and 'muggly' for my tolerance. It's also really wet, Val.
I like long comments, Kaye. Don't be sorry! It is sort of surprising the paper condemned him but this was a real big step too far.
You've had lots of rain, Lori. There were flood warnings for the Crow River, which runs through this area but we were not at risk.
According to the cats they always have the right idea, Kaye!!
