It looks nearly tropical. There is some creature roaming about that enjoys impatiens. They were just dug up on the porch, but pots I have in another place have been emptied. Rabbits doing the eating, I think. Squirrels doing the digging. I prepped the porch floor for painting spring of '20, then my mother died and I spent eight months of my time in St. The next year I began the medical mystery tour, so....ya.
Today is going to be the most tolerable of the coming week, as of the latest forecast on the weather app. I have lots to do, only time will tell if I do any of it. I know the malaise has much to do with the chaos and dread surrounding all of us. Grasping the reality of the consequences, current and future, is overwhelming. Moving on.
The dining room table officially became a cat perch when Frieda moved in. Gatto has sealed the deal. I do clean the glass once-in-a-while, so I have not not completely given up on it. Cats. Can't live with them, apparently can't live without them.
I had two country style beef ribs which I decided to use in a ragu made with tomatoes I froze last year. I was able to start dinner in the afternoon and not think about it until time to eat. This evening it will be leftover egg bake. Yippee.

You have nice greenery! I bet the smoke advisory will come your way today. It is awful up here.
We got the advisory yesterday, Far Side. The honeysuckle bush is normally trimmed but I guess not this year.
So the dining room table has been commandered. You must have another table you can use? A shame about the vanishing impatiens.
Yes, nick. I have a table in the kitchen. Thankfully!
Smoke advisory here today again.
Sorry about the plants.
I know how health issues can alter big and little plans. Can't be helped.
Cats commandeer spaces all the time--lol!
Foods always looks delicious at your house. :)
The cats haven't taken over the kitchen table, then?
A shame about your flowers being "up ended". Your porch is stunning as is Gatto.
Each day is another day where the USA is being gutted hallowed out. I wonder if we will be able to recover from this anti -democratic movement. We are in crazy land.
Stay Safe,
Kaye
Awwww....beautiful cat, and your dish looks delicious!
Your cat reminds me of my daughter's pup, Tempi. She refers to tables as "elevated dog beds." (In the blog she occasionally posts on.)
Yum! Between the weather and DC, I tuned out today. The garden tour is one week from today and I can't wait for it to be over. Gary needs a break and working in this weather has been horrible. So glad we got some rain this evening...our gardens needed a big drink. Please order some cooler weather.
It's so hot!!! Steamy!!! But your dinner looks delicious.
You porch looks like a neat place to hang out. Squirrels love to dig up plants. Fortunately, my squirrel patrol dude [Charlie] keeps squirrels mostly at bay.
LOL...he is smaller than your Gatto too!
Our air looked like foggy smoke yesterday and this early morning, the stars are brownish as is the moon. Ick.
I think I might be able to get at the yard today and do some mowing.
Your meals look wonderful.
I have a constant nose issue living with this cat. I don’t recall this issue previously, but she’s very dandery.
Cats do what they want to do, Rita! The air is worse up there in the north but we are under an advisory.
Frieda tries, Boud.
Yes, Kaye, they looked so pretty and then, puff, they were gone. The longer this lasts and they more laws and constitutional rights trampled the more difficult it will be to stop. If it is stopped recovery will be long.
Thank you, Linda!
That is hilarious that Tempi gets on tables! She is a personality.
Gary is wearing me out, Lori! I don't know how he manages all that work in the heat and humidity. When this is over he will need to recuperate. We have lower humidity today but then it's back to tropics.
It's been tough for me to get any outside work done, Miss Merry. We will have the leftovers of this meal tonight.
I used to spend a lot of time there, Val. Now it just is too humid and the flies are viscous. It's a shame. I'm going to get more done outside today, the last day od tolerable humidity.
You may have told me what is going on with me, AC. I'm almost constantly dealing with a stuffed up head and a dripping nose.
