Which seems to be cats.
Frieda is a strange one. She enjoys sitting in the Wassily chair. Not soft, slanting backward, yet she sits in it a lot.
Give Gatto a box and he turns it into his castle.
Our weather is perfect this week. I spent two afternoons trimming the honeysuckle on the east end of the house. The end with all the window. Windows with no view other than leaves. They grew so fast this year they towered. I knew when I put them there what they are and how tall they get. I'd put several different shrubs in this place and they all died. I have honeysuckle growing everywhere so I dug them up and waited. They did not die. It's been me against the bushes for decades. They are close to winning.
I'll spend this afternoon doing more much needed maintenance. I'll use the weed whacker for as long as the battery lasts, which isn't very long with this one. The forecast has me hopeful, I may be able to get a lot of deferred maintenance done. If my body holds up. I limit myself to a couple of hours a day if it's physical. My definition of physical, that is. How is it the last week of August?

I'm glad your weather is better and you can get out. And how did it get to be nearly September already? Faster and faster. Everything rushes by so fast it's not worth worrying over anything, it'll be gone before you get the worry in gear.
You have described it perfectly, Boud.
I go by the meteorological calendar, so summer is almost over. Bring in the fall! 😊❤️
I am impressed that you can last for several hours.
Weed whacking is hard work! Enjoy the cooler weather!
So glad it cooled off. Sounds like you have been busy-busy. Can totally relate to "my definition of physical"--lol!
Cats do have definite and often surprising opinions on what they like and don't like--lol! :)
Ahh.....another Wassily chair. Nice that you are able to get a couple hours of work in these days. Quite the improvement. I am so loving the coolness.
I have a battery weed whacker too. Battery usually lasts. We have a mower of the same kind and it is WONDERFUL to have battery mower as well. No spark plugs, not pull chord and no wintering over. It's the best.
We have battery operated stuff, hubby does all that, though. I'm glad to hear your weather has cooled, ours is supposed to cool a bit, but it's been pretty damn hot. Makes me grumpy. Well, everything makes me grumpy.
Cats sure can sleep in the strangest places.
It's fall-like right now, Cheerful.
I'm tired and sore afterward but I have 2-3 hours in me, AC. Mostly due to stubbornness.
I did more bush trimming instead, Far Side.
You know about a flurry of busy, Rita! Gatto is a weirdo.
You are the only other person I know who has one, Lori. They are remarkably comfortable. Even Frieda thinks so!
The battery lasted a long time on my old one, Ivy. Not this one. If I had a smaller yard I would like a battery mower.
I've always cared for the yard and gardens, Ami. Mark does some weeding and he takes care of the trees. We are having good weather right now. We haven't had all summer.
They certainly can, Jane. Cats are strange, period.
Frieda and Gatto sure are adorable! We had honeysuckle everywhere in the back yard and I always loved the smell of it. It died out over the years. You remind me I need to get out and do some weeding myself. I am glad that at least the weather is cooling down here.
"It's been me against the bushes for decades". Tell me about it! As fast as I prune them they grow like the clappers. Slow down, guys.
Cats have their peculiarities in where they like to be. But, they always look so comfortable, where ever it is.
I "time" my work with the weed whacker by when the battery dies...or the string runs out, whichever happens first! I've been doing battle with fast growing weeds , and trimming along our fence lines.
I'm losing a battle with lamnium, it's winning so far, but I haven't given up yet:)
Catching up. I'm glad the weather changed and you can get out. The honeysuckle is pretty in the spring and fall but a nuisance if that is only what you see out the window.
I love ❤️ cats 🐈 They find joy 😊 in the simplest things.
