It's raining this morning and supposedly through the day. We need it and I have no plans. I have baking plans and I couldn't ask for more appropriate weather for that. I think I'll make a rhubarb cake. When you are born and raised in a cold climate the biological instinct to start loading up calories as winter approaches still exists. This is why it's so common for weight gain during winter. I tell myself a little treat now and again doesn't hurt anyone. Justification? Maybe.
Neighbor Bill brought me some of the last of his peppers. I stopped growing peppers years ago when I started being supplied by Bill. They made a good, easy and colorful stir fry for our dinner.

Stirfry! I always forget that possibility. Noted for today.
I love rhubarb!
We grow a LOT of rhubarb. This week something has been eating it and it was not us. Love rhubarb muffins!
PS. I could go for that stir fry.!
Pretty plate of food! Enjoy your baking day!
That looks really good ..
Cut stuff up...toss it in a pan, and stir it while it fries. My kind of meal.
:)
Your stir-fry is magazine-worthy! I love growing peppers, but I'm not much of a fan of eating them!
That sounds like ideal cooking weather! 😊❤️
Comfort comes with calories.
This looks delicious. 👌
Comfort food with calories season is here--lol! ;)
Rhubarb cake sounds divine. And the stir-fry looks pretty good too. Definitely cooking weather!
Bill's peppers add a lovely and delicious addition to your meal, which looks great! I've heard in the old days that people fed like the bears do before the winter set in. I am doing the same thing in the justifying department. I have to thank you again for showing all the wonderful bread you have been sharing here. I made an artisan no-need loaf thanks to you, and it was very well received happy to say.
We use peppers a lot. The senior give away peppers
