Carrying On

With the amount of absurdity swirling around those of us in the US, the schadenfreude of the few and the shock of everyone else, I have been busy trying to keep my sanity. What little remains. I've been doing a lot of baking and, of course, the general meal prep. Simple is so satisfying. Pan fried flounder. How simple and delicious on a cold Minnesota night.

Don't choke on your coffee, I will be leaving the walls of my own security to venture into the chaos of the world. I'm going to Costco. I feel like a world traveler.

I'm not a fan of fish, but that flounder looks tasty. Have a good trip:)

Well, enjoy your adventure. I am actually going to stay home after errands and do some catching up of things I ignored while it was so cold out.
You foodie photography looks so inviting!

Costco is too much of an adventure for me. 🤓

I really like fish, Pixie, and it was good!

It was an adventure. Going through an unfamiliar Costco does count as an adventure, Val!

I saw this too late for photos, Boud. I will say my bank account is lighter! I had to rearrange the refrigerator and use Mark's beer fridge.

I did.

Those plates are a set a friend had from he grandmother. She was taking them to goodwill. I told here I would hang onto them incase she changed her mind. She dies several years ago so I decided she wouldn't be changing her mind, Miss Merry!

I am glad you are venturing out. I believe Spring is about to pop open here, so a sense of renewal is on the cusp.

I will admit to being worn-out by the time I got home, Tommy. Walking is difficult for me which means I should do it as much as I am able. The afternoon was taken up with cleaning and rearranging the refrigerator to create room for my overbuying. It needed doing anyway.

I feel you. I haven't home in almost 2 weeks; being here helps my sanity stay intact.

Another delicious meal Sandra and glad you got out. A change of scenery is like a breath of fresh air, especially with everything that has been going on lately.
