A Hearty Lunch

Eating highly seasoned food is unhealthful, because it stimulates too much, provokes the appetite too much, and often is indigestible.
'Miss Beecher's Domestic Receipt-Book' (1846)

What did she know!

This is something of a cheater chili, as it takes about 30 minutes to make and it is a little warm!

1/2 lb ground turkey
1 small coarsely chopped onion
2-3 large cloves garlic chopped
Brown these together

1 small can of green chiles
1 can of black beans
1 can of diced tomatoes
a good shake of chipotle powder
salt to taste

Add to meat mixture and allow to simmer until thickened.
I serve it over a small amount of rice and with a good dollop of Daisy (light sour cream)

Wow, I could go for a bowl of that right now! (And it's not even 8 am). Is it snowing there? We have about 2" on the ground.

Yes it's snowing and I'm depressed. It just makes an even bigger mess as it melts. I don't like to complain, but isn't enough, enough?

This is good and the best thing is it's quick.
