We have a nice, sunny morning this Saturday. We are having above average temperatures and the snow is slowly melting. March in the Northland is a contentious month, one never knows what is around the corner. Next week we could have a blizzard.
Life has been quiet, which is ok. Medical appointments, the dead giveaway you are in the senior zone, keep coming up. Now it's a bone scan. Seems they want one every four years. Hopefully my bones are still as hale and hearty as they were four years ago.
I've been filling my time with some bread baking. I'll be good for a little while now. I may be strange, but I really enjoy making bread. I skipped a generation in genetic traits. I am my grandma. Which is a good thing.
Yesterday I had a burst of energy and decided to take everything out of my bathroom, including emptying the medicine cabinet, to clean thoroughly. For such a small space it took a long time, at least it felt like it to me. Two and one half hours. I even washed the floor on my hands and knees! We remodeled two bathrooms in 2018, both in desperate need. They were both ugly, but functional, so we didn't get around to changing them until tile started falling off the walls. That was too much even for Mark. Mark and I do not share a bathroom, one of the things that contributes to our congenial marriage.
I will admit I'm getting a little antsy about waiting for spring. There is so much to catch-up on outside and I'm hopeful I can be of help, more than I have been. Spring has been showing up early over the last few years, so maybe April will be spring here.

I agree that separate bathrooms, if possible, are a good safety feature in a marriage!
It's weird but so right. Separate bathrooms can make for happy marriage!
I associate March with windy weather. Whether my generalization is correct or not, winds are keeping us inside today for sure.
Nice bathroom. I like the very large basin, good for hair washing. We've stayed in so many hotel rooms with titchy basins.
I recently discovered I skipped my own grandma generation, too, but it's with flowered hankies--ROFL!
Your loaves always look so good I can almost smell them!
We're supposed to probably hit 50 today for the first time this year. But--yes--we could have a blizzard coming still. Been warmer earlier, though, so you may be right...we might actually have spring in April instead of May or even June--lol! Enjoy!!
I still remember the smell of fresh-baked bread. I'm glad you are baking it, it's great for mental health.
Yes, March and wind are synonymous, AC. So are blizzards, at least here!
Thanks, nick. It was flat-out ugly for about 25 years! The pedestal sink works well in a small space.
I'm very like my grandma in so many ways. She was tougher than I am, though. But then, she was born in 1892 and thens were harder all the way around then. People would be surprised to know we sometimes have snow in June, Rita!
I rarely buy bread, Cheerful. I'll keep making it as long as I am able.
You are Spring cleaning so Spring must be here! The bread looks wonderful!
Well! It sounds like you are getting some of your groove back. Good news. Still cold and very WINDY here. I too, am anxious for some spring like weather. We also have separate bathrooms and Gary is very good at cleaning his. You must be in pretty good shape to do the floors on your hands and knees!!!!
I spent yesterday cleaning our floors from all the Hospice visitors and traffic in and out with deliveries and whatnot. Hubby was up most of the day [due to his prednisone treatment] and thrilled me by telling me if I missed a spot.
We share a bathroom unless you count the times we used the outhouse! :)
This was a lot of work and I am so happy to hear you are energized.
It must be, Far Side! The weather is saying so. The bread is good, a 50/50 mix of bread flour and white whole wheat.
With the size of your house, Lori, I would be surprised if you didn't have separate bathrooms. Mark takes care of his, too. I only washed the small bathroom floor on hands and knees, Lori, and I felt the whole experience the next day. Ouch!
The outhouse counts, Val! I'm sure you greatly appreciated his help. 😉 I've thought of you a lot lately.
