It rained all day Wednesday and will be the same today. As I walked through the laundry room I heard drip drip. We have a leak in the roof and the drip drip was water hitting the floor. The high wind we had last week must have done something to a few shingles. We will need someone to fix it. Right now there is a large pot on the floor catching water. Lovely.
Gatto is brushing up on his tax law knowledge. He's so enterprising. The weather is working in Mark's favor. He needs to complete 80 hours of CPE (certified professional education). Gatto would rather snooze.
Rain and cool weather is perfect for baking bread and spending an afternoon finishing one book and starting another. I was also prompted by the weather to make dough for pizza. Rain, fresh bread and book and ending the day with pizza. I know it could get better than that, but not by much.

All this and a sleeping cat. What are you reading? Nosy readers need to know.
Oh no not a leaky roof. Hope the fix is easy. I always envy sleeping cats,
Thankfully it is comfortable and rainy now here in Montreal as well! Such a relief after 4 days of intense heat and humidity. Bread...yum! Your plate of food looks delicious, Sandra.
We had a roof leak soon after we moved into this house. Several roofers looked at the roof but couldn't trace the source of the leak. In the end out of desperation we had the chimney taken down and replaced by shingles, and that cured the leak. Good luck with curing your own leak.
I am sorry about your leak, hope it isn't horrible to fix. Sleeping cats are so comforting...Your food looks delicious!
That looks like good and interesting pizza.
Love the pic of Gatto!
I hope you can get that leak fixed easily.
Pizza sounds perfect. Still raining lightly up here, too. :)
Yummy looking food! The rain and storms only brought us more water and more rain with the wind...
No relief from the mugginess. I wish I could nap like a cat or even like my dog!
Uh oh on the leaky roof. If isn't one thing, it seems to be another.
I do like homemade bread.
I so appreciate the kind of day you had....except for the leak. Your dinner looks like something we would have. Today the temperature was in the 60s and it was such a relief (with a little rain).
That sounds like a great day to me! 😊
I'm reading The Finisher by David Baldacci. It's completely different from his regular style, like a fantasy. At first I didn't think I liked it but I became interested, Boud.
I hope so, too, Far Side. This was a new experience for me.
Thank you, Linda. I could eat pizza everyday!
I guess you didn't need the chimney, nick! It should be evident in the attic.
So do I, e. I'm so grateful when he sleeps. It means he isn't getting into trouble.
It was good, AC. Pesto, garlic, tomato, asparagus and prosciutto.
We got a lot of rain, Rita. Gatto was helping Mark. By staying out of the way. Fingers crossed about the roof.
I do like pizza, Val! Today will be mild temp but humid. Tomorrow 90 and really humid. I think I hate summer. In a couple of years it's been a new refrigerator, new furnace, new washer/dryer and now roof problems. Ah, well...
So do I, Dora!!
I like your naan pizzas, Lori. I should keep some on hand for a quick meal.
It wasn't bad, Cheerful!
Sorry about that leak but that first picture with Gatto, got a real big smile from me. Thank you ! Also for the Yumm food! I am getting a lot of good ideas from looking at your food photos. We had a doozy of a storm with thunder and lightning and power outage last night, raining all day today. Happy weekend to you :)
I am catching up on shat looks to be a(nother) rainy Saturday in Nashua, NH, and everything you posted was good, except a roof leak, yes to reading and pizza.
Brushing up on tax laws. lolololol.
We had another storm last night with a tornado warning, Denise. This hot, humid weather creates volatile weather.
Leaky roof caught me by surprise, Dorothy.
He's a studious fellow, Ivy.
