Lately though I have been wishing for something......time. I don't have enough of it, I want more of it and I don't think I'll get my wish. Seems my mother was right!
It's said you can't buy time, but that's not entirely true. Time can be bought by hiring someone else to do something you normally do, giving more time to do something else. Or, so I thought when I hired barn help a couple of years ago, but somehow that vacuum was instantly filled and I still don't have time, only less money!
Of course, here I sit typing as opposed to working, so I think I've learned to waste time in a way I never knew before, clickity-clack on a keyboard. So, I guess I do have time, I just don't use it very well. : )

If I hired someone to do my barn chores...I would miss it!
I would rather hire someone to clean my house and I'll do the barn.
Happy Trails! <;p]
Hi, welcome! I didn't explain that I still work along with my helper. I have 24 stalls and 28 horses, so there is more than enough to go around. : )
Having Deb in the AM has allowed me to have a couple of free hours in the afternoon. Before Deb, I usually had 10 - 12 hour days, so I am appreciative of her!
House help is a luxury I can't afford on top of barn help. I HATE housework and it shows. I have a sign in my barn that say 'Horsework Before Housework' and that is sure the truth here.
I have another sign in the barn a friend gave me, she was laughing so hard I thought she would wet her pants. 'The Queen Is Not Accepting An Audience Today'. She said, "If the shoe fits...." So, from a Queen to a Goddess, welcome. : )
Ah time management, I have a lot of work in that area
to get my all my time used efficiently and wisely : )
Ash
hey sandra.
thought i should finally say hello.
i'm a friend of ashley's and find myself clicking over here often from her sidebar. so i'm "delurking"...:)
i always enjoy the pics of your beautiful horses, and you may have inspired me to start a quote day of my own one day, on my blog.
the one about karma/dogma had me howling. :)
and yes, i'm wishing with you this wed. for more time. seems the neverending story of my life.
Hello Christie! I'm honored that you lurked and pleased that you de-lurked.
There is no rhyme or reason to my blog, except my quote of the day. But, there isn't a whole lot of reason (as in sense) to my life, either. So, it stands to reason that I have a mishmash of topics. : )
When I came across that quote, I could not resist, it gave me a good belly laugh.
I really enjoy Ashley's point of view, so I look forward to yours as well. I don't need people to agree with me, only to be polite in their disagreement. So reply away!
Ashley, I think you are too modest. You seem to manage your home and life very well. It will be a bit of a challenge after being accustomed to help, but I think you are up to the task. Put the kids to work a little bit, it's good for them and great for you.
I am so glad that Christy de-lurked!! She is a lovely friend of mine and don't worry no one is more polite than Christy! : )
