Just a Note

In between loads of laundry there was bread rising and baking.

We've had quite a bit of rain the past three days, with more coming later today. It is currently sunny and mild out there. We were in a bad drought last year, rain is much appreciated. Everything is a vibrant green. I believe verdant is the word. The word of the day.

What kind of bread is that? It looks so good.
Verdant, huh? I thunk it were green, me.

It's an 18-20hr ferment on the counter. There's thyme in this loaf. Baked at 500* in a dutch oven.

Green green, it's green they say on the far side of the hill.....😄

Sandra, seeing that loaf of freshly baked bread I wanted to come over with some butter and a spreader. It looks wonderful and surely was delicious😋 My baking project tonight will be homemade tortillas (first time).

Dorothy, the bread is good. I make tortillas. They are so simple you will wonder why you ever bought them!

It's hard to tell scale, so your bread could pass as a muffin. It does look good.

AC, that's funny! The camera does deceive, but it is a loaf of bread. 😉

Yummy bread and yes green or verdant is a good word for right now and we will enjoy more rain tonight and tomorrow night.

2 inches last night. I don't think farmers around here will ever get in the fields.

Verdant here, too.
What a lovely loaf! :)

Lori, this is really good bread. You're killing me with those flowers!

Val it rained yesterday evening and through the night. Everything is opening up.

Miss Merry, that's a lot of rain. If they go out in the field here when it's wet they end up regretting it. We have black clay soil and it is awful. They call it gumbo.

Rita, after a serious drought it's wonderful to see the rain and green. This is good bread.

e, I'm certain it's lush down there. It is delicious and very light.

Far Side, blogger put you in spam. Thanks, it is good.

That bread looks sooo good, I can imagine the butter melting over a slice. Sigh.

We've got rain and snow and everything is turning green overnight. I love green.

It's very verdant here too. Our stretch of the road is awash with our cherry blossom petals. Usually the wind blows most of them away. Hopefully that's still the case, otherwise I have an awful lot of petals to sweep up.

Pixie, it's a very simple bread to make. It's turned green over the last couple of days and the trees are leafing out.

nick, let's hope for the wind doing the job for you!
