I awoke this morning with this song playing in my head. Omen?
Don't laugh, but I loved the disco era. Believe it or not I could be quite flamboyant in my youth! It was fun, you could dance your heart out and be part of what everyone else was doing. I loved dancing. I still dance in my house, but I look like those old ladies you see in memes.
I saw this clip and thought "If this isn't the image of cool, what is?" I love dancing, yeah. Sorry, I've got Bee Gees on the brain. Anyway...I loved to dance but I never had these moves. Stay alive. Stay cool.

OMG! Thanks for popping by my blog! You sent me down a rabbit hole of watching dancers I never knew existed and I have this song in my head now...in fact several--lol!
Twin Cities born and raised (Minneapolis suburb, though--Fridley '68). Minnesotan to my bones even if I have lived in Fargo for the last nearly 20 years--lol! Nice to meet you. I'm a new follower. :)
I saw that clip on TikTok and loved it. As for dancing, music makes me move ... sometimes I try unsuccessfully to play it cool and not dance in public, like in the aisles at the grocery store, LOL. BTS has a video you might like to look up where they sing about "We don't need permission to dance". Dance on. It's fun exercise.
I love this! It has brightened this rain/snow day. Actually, it would make any day better..Fun.
Thank You,
Kaye
Worst dancer in the world checking in, to say I dance in the kitchen where there's no audience. I recommend it!
Hi, Rita! I woke with the song in my head, went to your blog and you were talking bout life being what it is and everyday is a good day. It felt fated! I am surprised how good the music and dancing made me feel.
B&B, music does the same to me. Boogie on down the grocery aisle! I looked up the song and found myself chair dancing.
Kaye, it's great to hear from you! It brightened my day, too. You're getting snow, that's not cool.
Boud, I bet you can shake a leg! I kitchen dance, too. I look ridiculous, but who's watching? The cats are ready know I'm weird.
flamboyant I can get into as well. Maybe that why I like drag queens.
Oh oh oh oh stayin' aliiiiive! 🕺
Sandi, 😄 we are trying!
Dancing is so much fun...I was doing that one day while filling the water tank with music playing in my earpieces.
I walked up to the house afterwards and my husband met me at the door and asked if I was okay.
I thought I my dancing was a seizure or an attack from invisible spiders...
Yes, I dance to music when no one but the dog is watching. I sing that way also.
Val, have you seen Elaine on Seinfeld dance? It looks like she is having a seizure. I kind of look like that when I dance now. Mark came into the kitchen a few days ago and laughed, calling me Elaine!
I love The Bee Gees! And I dance at home too! Iti so fun to dance in the kitchen or anywhere in the house.
I came back just to watch again! It made me smile so much my cheeks hurt. Maybe, that means I have not been smiling of late .
You are right this clip is so cool
Kaye
I was right there with you! Danced my brains out in high school and college.....never quit. When our kids were little, we played music and danced every night after dinner while Gary did the dishes. Such a great memory. I love music..period.
That's a fun clip to watch early in the morning.
Ivy, why am I not surprised you dance in the kitchen, I'm sure with your whisk! You should be dancing yeah! :)
Kaye, it does sort of lift the spirits!
Lori, I know you are musical. I think people are wired to move to music. We cannot help it. I can see you in my mind dancing like you mean it!
AC, I'm glad you enjoyed it. They can dance.
Dora, you were in spam! I knew some drag queens in the '70s. Very fun people.
I loved dancing too. Well, I still do but only at home. I wouldn't expose myself to the younger generation and their disparaging remarks about old people dancing (I'm 77).
This was fun to see and the fellow in the front makes a lot of similar videos and they are quite fun to watch. I still like Travolta's original the best, Sandra.
