Alive and Well

I am back!

We got through turkey day just fine. It was a good day, everyone, even me, was relaxed. I haven't turned my computer on in days. I had the energy and the physical ability (sort of) to get what I wanted done....done. I couldn't allow myself distraction because I distract easily and that would have broken the spell. Accomplishment is an elixir.

I have turkey noodle soup simmering for lunch and I have most of yesterday's mess cleared away, so life is moving along well enough.

I will visit everyone later in the day and catch up on what has been happening. It feels like forever since I was here.

Leaving you with a photo of Gatto. Because no one can have too much Gatto.

I was wondering if gatto would pick up the slack. But it evidently translated into sleep.

I posted and it's vanished! About how come Fargo didn't blog for you, pick up the slack.

I typed Gatto. Twice. It keeps changing back to a wrong word!

Boud, that's funny. How do they get Fargo out of Gatto? I don't know if we'd want to see what Gatto may write!

I thought of you the other day when I made a chicken stock from a chicken carcass. I don't know that I've ever made stock before but it wasn't hard which I appreciated. I also didn't know that the stock would be gelatinous. Grossed me out a little but it was fine when I cooked with it. I'll have to do it again.

Glad you had a good thanksgiving and Gatto looks exhausted from all of his hard work:)

Glad to hear your day went well!
I have been 'unplugging' as well during the afternoons and evenings.

I think it is healthy to get away from things and just 'be'.

Gatto. What a character!

Pixie, the gelatinous is what tells you it's done right. I'm happy you tried, it's so simple and so good!

Gatto worked hard at bothering Matthew. :)

I missed this yesterday and almost sent you an email to see what was going on. So glad your Thanksgiving went well and was relaxing for you. Do you take your photos with a phone or camera?

Sandra said...

Lori, although I have a Canon DSLR camera I take all photo with the iPhone. I never think of the other. Yes, I was absent for awhile!

The "good" part about having been away for Thanksgiving with family in RI is that we did not have to prepare the meal, only bring desserts and bread. The "bad" thing about eating out is that we do not have a turkey carcass to make soup and we really do enjoy soup!

Beatrice. the good may outweigh the bad.

Gato seems okay with being your Muse. Eli finally lets me take some pixs without protest or attacking the Camera. I can't Believe I have Lost your Blog for so long... glad Thanksgiving went well, ours did too.
