Raindrops Keep Falling on My Deck

Yes. Sometimes I do make quinoa.

It's raining again. It should be over in another hour, then less hot with high humidity. Bah. The cats are fascinated for some reason. It's laundry day so I will at least do that. I have had absolutely no motivation. None. Climate, weather and political, have sucked it out of me. I need to find equilibrium. I hope to get out in the gardens this week, that will help me a lot. It will also help the gardens. I must remember, one foot in front of the other.

With that high note, I will leave you.

I've tried quinoa in a number of ways. But they all taste like iron filings. I think it's body chemistry.

I can't blame anyone having trouble functioning right now.

I've have to forcefully stop looking at the news for right now.

The heat and humidity has sucked my spunk right out of me too.

Quinoa needs some enhancement. I put in some lemon or lime juice. I'll also mix in some parm.

It's difficult times, no denying, Boud.

I know what you mean, Val. I can't take it, either. It is stifling at the moment. I'm putting off laundry till tomorrow. Another day of doing small things.

I, like Val am avoiding the news it scares me. I want a huge blue wave..

Gato is looking very manly and grown up these days.

Take Care,
Kaye

Kaye, he thinks he is King of the Hill. Until McCool comes inside. The he watches his attitude!

If we don't have a bluewave, we are in serious trouble. When i wrote that it reminded me of a stallion I bred to, Sirius Trouble. The filly I named Sirius Grace. A little off topic info!

Have never made or tasted quinoa. Food would be an exotic adventure for me at your house--lol! ;)
Funny, was going to be laundry day for me, too, but I decided to wait till tomorrow. It will be there.
The news...so distressing these days I have to take it in very small doses. Also praying for a blue wave...a blue tsunami!

Our weather gods keep saying it's going to rain. But it never does. So we just back and sweat in this humidity.

I've done all those things! The flavor of quinoa ruins them. Oh well, I tried. It's like Brussels sprouts!

I love the picture of the cats and your deck. I just wish your rain was more refreshing... I don't do well in heat either.

I actually cooked some quinoa yesterday. Nothing fancy, I just put a little salad dressing on it.

Scary times.

We had some serious, wild rain today and many trees came down in this area. The news is scary and I can't believe what shape this country is in....but I do check in on it. My gut feelings don't seem to be working lately.

We had rain and thunder here today and Mercy freaked out. Your cats look calm. I have given up on the news. Where I live, people are upset with the board and the coming changes due to new laws for condos here, finances are at stake, really not good. Very stressful.

Nice cat photo. They are on the right side of the screen. Maybe they are kept indoors? Ours is for sure.

Rita, in quinoa you aren't missing a lot. I use it occasionally as an alternative carb. It is good in protein and fiber.
Monday is my laundry day, bu as you say, it will be there.
I fear for the US.

MissMerry, that's the thing about the weather gods, they play with us! It's a cooler day, still humid but not stifling.

Sandra said...

Boud, I like brussels sprout roasted, otherwise...ick!

Sandra said...

CheerfulMonk, the cats like watching the birds in the bushes, the birds like taunting the cats.
I hadn't thought of using salad dressing. It is a scary time.

Sandra said...

Far Side, they do like the screen door. All one can do is one day at a time.

Sandra said...

Dora, it actually had been awhile for me, as well.

Lori, I hope Gary's gardens are intact.
My gut tells me we are facing a disaster over the horizon. My mind wants to believe differently, but my gut refuses to listen.

e, I have never has a cat that reacted to thunder. Dogs, yes. Mercy is sensitive.
I'm sorry to hear this. Our property taxes keep rising, they eventually push people out of their homes. I hope that doesn't happen to you.

AC, yes, there are 3 house cats. One was born in the barn and was part time in the house but several years ago she lost the use of a front leg and is inside. Two of her siblings are part time insiders and one wants nothing to do with it.

Silly me, I had hoped that trump almost being killed would make him appreciate life more, but so far that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm so tired of hearing politicians tell outright lies with no consequences.

Sandra said...

Pixie, 45 has a personality disorder. It's not possible for him to be anything other than what he is. There are no consequences for anything he does, which is not boding well for the US or the world.
