Good Wednesday to you all. This is one of the plants that hung on the front porch. The tag is lost and I don't remember what it is, but I hope it will get enough light here facing east. It's really pretty and has bloomed profusely. The excitement for today will be mowing. Yesterday I thought I would see a former neighbor and friend. We see her husband a few times a year when he brings tax information to Mark. She was planning to come with but in the end did not. It was disappointing. It's been maybe 28 years since I last saw her. We became good friends after they moved next door to us in Saint Paul. Her oldest daughter wore my beautiful wedding veil when she married. Life just moved on.
This fellow takes over my side of the bed. Every night. Bed hog. He lives the motto ~if you are going to do something, do it big~. And he does. I never thought my life would be filled with cats and yet, here we are. I can't have dogs anymore and life without housepets would seem empty, although much less work. So, yes. Here we are.

I think your plant is a Mandevilla and they are very pretty! Cats really live a relaxed life...have to envy them:)
Thanks, that's it Far Side. Inside cats have it made. They knew what they were doing when they domesticated us!
Maybe you can teach your cats to bark. Had a friend whose Mama Dog nursed a kitten with her puppies and the kitten would run to the door with the dogs when the doorbell rang and make a cough-y little barking sound. It was hysterical.
So you're getting to the back forty today. Don't look for any feline assistance or company. They'll wait for you at home.
Our cat doesn't sleep with us although we will sometimes get a brief visit.
Funny you should say that, Ami. Gatto doesn't bark, but he immediately bonded with Keetah, the German Shepard, when he moved in. He was with her all the time. Now that she is gone, he lays on her spots on the floor, he heels when he walks next to Mark and he runs to the door when he hears it open. Mark calls him a Kettah Kat.
We shall see, Boud. I'm not there yet! Felines and assistance do not go together!
There are 3 cats on the bed at night. They own everything. We just pay rent, AC.
Some pets are right bed hogs
My husband says. I hog the bedding.
They sure are, Jo-Anne. He is heavy and does not move.
Hopefully you'll meet up with your old friend eventually. A few years ago I ran into an old friend on Facebook, someone I hadn't seen since the early 1970s, and we've been in touch ever since.
Yes, exactly!
Surround yourself with beautiful things.
And you will have joy every day.
A hug for you.
Viola
The same happened with me, nick. Two people I grew up with in the neighborhood on FB. One moved in 1969 and the other I never saw after high school graduation. I would be happy to see my neighbor again, we used to have fun tgogether.
I think I would be wise to take your advice!
That plant looks like a clematis to me. I can't imagine not having a house pet either.
A house pet or several, right, Lori!
Her it's the guys who do that, Dora. Gatto and Mark!
