The assassin has been apprehended.
The toddler-in-chief is having a tantrum over the protests and is threatening blue states with increased ICE presence for increased raids. His parade did not please him. 45 million well spent.
I am not going to turn this space into my angry place, but after Saturday I believe I am allowed a bit of anger mixed with sadness. As we all are, really. It happened here but it could have happened anywhere.
Adding a bit of brightness. Heirloom roses from a dozen years ago.
Some sweet and sour. Like life.

I agree, a bit of anger but not letting it take over. Some bloggers have done that and I've stopped following because I don't need my outrageometer cranked up to 11 regularly.
And thank you for the roses.
Yes, Boud. It's healthy to let it out. It's unhealthy to live in continual rage. I don't want to live that way.
I understand not letting the anger take over, and yes, thanks for the beautiful roses and food, like life. I feel sadness a lot these days and don't articulate that easily.
Anger at the events that happened in your community and our county is the only appropriate response. May the anger lead the way for change.
Stay Safe,
Kaye
I am sure you are not alone with such feelings
What is that last dish. I'm thinking chicken and biscuit but could be a dessert and scoop of ice cream. Either way, looks delicious.
It's hard not to get a little frosty every now and then considering the prevalent lunacy in certain circles. Now let us talk about that pie or cobbler or whatever the right word is.
Oh boy, those roses are beautiful. So is the food.
I'm just going to hang in there and move along with things.
The toddler needs a spanking. I have kept track of the news to see if the assassin was caught.
I have felt outrage this week and need a rest from it.
The flowers are pretty!!!!!!
I have trouble keeping my mouth shut (as you know). Still waiting for some discipline to come down from the judges. Gorgeous roses! Speak your mind as needed.......
Anger is a good motivator but a lousy long term companion, e.
The outrage was palpable, Kaye. She was a good person, involved in many things that helped better people’s lives. An awful shame.
No, I sure was not/am not, Jo Anne.
Ha, Shirley! It’s called crisp or cobbler made with rhubarb.
It is really hard, AC. I can’t let this administration run my life anymore than can’t be helped. It is known as a cobbler or a crisp.
I know the feeling, Val. You have enough to deal with. That toddler needs to be sent to his room and kept there.
Thank you, Ivy.
I wouldn’t want you any other way, Lori! They simply ignore the judges. Something has to break and soon. Anyone who comes here knows I’m one of those radical liberal snowflakes! I don’t need to point it out except in moments of outrage.
The more I learn about your state senator, the more I feel the loss of this lovely woman. This should never happen in this country. Ever.
The beautiful thing about the protests were they were mostly positive/life affirming rather than adding to the rage and hatred. That's why they were successful. Anger and rage are reactive, focused on want we don't want. We need to channel that energy into pushing for what we do want. Trump won because a lot of people thought he would be better for them economically. The "one big, beautiful bill" will be just the opposite if it goes through. We need to push that point and offer something better. (If all the anti-Trump people could only agree on that.)
jjust saying hello on a late night from Deep in the heart of Louisiana
I see Trump is blaming the poor turnout for his rally on the weather forecasters. Apparently they forecast rain and then there wasn't any. No doubt the nasty weather forecasters/bad people will be sacked.
What was creepier to me was that guy went to four different places on his long list that night! A policewoman pulling up next to him kept him out of one house and another house they weren't home. So glad they caught him!
The many, many protests were peaceful and some were even joyful! I am so proud of Minnesotans for standing up to the fear that man created. :)
She was a compassionate person, Miss Merry.
This has been growing over decades, it really became a focus of the republican party during Reagan. Moving a large segment of the population away from issues like their own economic benefit to focusing on the 'other'. Hate and fear became the platform.
Hey, tommy! It's hot and humid up here but I bet it's worse down there.
There's always an excuse and always someone to blame, nick.
There could have been much more , Rita. I'm sure the people in the two places he didn't get to are feeling relief and unease, Rita.
