Lavender Sky

No sight is more provocative
of awe than is the night sky.

Llewelyn Powys

My office is on the west end of my house. I looked out of the window and saw this sky. So beautiful. I wonder how much of this I miss because I don't look.

Amazing what happens even when we aren't watching

Hey, you saw my rain...

Is this real? Totally looks like a painting. We had rain at our house yesterday, too, but the beauty didn't appear until after it.

This isn't rain or rain clouds. This is just before the sky goes dark, probably 9:30. I just glanced out the window and saw the lavender sky. I didn't waste time changing the lens, I just got out there. So pretty.

Stunning pictures and even better that you were able to capture it on film. You're right...so many times I am thinking of so many other things that I don't take the time to really look at what is right in front of me. Thanks for the lesson!

It makes you wonder what goes on around you while you aren't looking.
