My gluteus is giving me a maximus pain. I spent several hours Tuesday afternoon bent over as I lopped what seemed like a forest of saplings. Wednesday I was made very aware of my limitations. Owie! It will be a couple more days before I can resume that job. I did wash the interior of 12 out of 18 windows yesterday, so I did something. Oh, the excitement of the life lived by an aging person.

It's best to find some new hobbies that we can still handle. Andy says even he realizes he will soon be old. but not until he turns 90 in February.
That's the kind of work that seems fine at the time..
Window cleaning is something I should do more often
I should get window wash before Mr and Mrs Winter hit.
Oh I must wash windows soon too, I dislike the job but like the results:)
It's a pave, for sure.
I have a huge problem pacing myself. Actually once I start aching, I convince myself that if I don't finish the job, I will never get back to it. One step at a time is advice I give others.
There are some great ways to alleviate your pains and aches. But I can't describe it here, it would sound too weird.
You are making progress! Those poor unused muscles are waking up!
One small step at a time. :)
I do like Andy's attitude!
You got that right.
They needed it, Dora
It is
So, you are another like me. You give advice you don't take yourself!
Do let me know, Val. email is in the profile. It's slow, but I am doing more, bit by bit.
It's been several years since I got to it, Jo-Anne.
I think you have been sort of busy, Far Side.
That old lady will be me, lol.
We're in the process of cutting down a diseased tree and I abused my back quite badly one day. I thought I would take a hot bath with epsom salts, like my massage therapist always tells me to do. Well I did, and I wasn't sore the next day like I thought I would be. It was like a miracle.
My balance is so bad, Pixie, it better not be me! I will give that a try. Hopefully I can get back out of the tub.
It's a shock when you find you have to pay dearly for activities you would have done without a second thought when you were younger. Even when you overdid it--instead of being okay the next day but a little stiff at first you find it can take days to recuperate. Ah! But we are still here. We can juggle priorities and keep going at a different pace. We are the lucky ones. Alive and gently kicking. ;)
You are definately going in the right direction with what you have been doing! Very impressed.
Yup, still here, not kicking very high, but still kicking!
Every little bit I accomplish is counted as a win, Lori.
