Another day, another headache. I am getting better, but it is slow. My mother cursed me with arthritic hands and messed up sinuses. We all have something, don't we. That's it for moaning about myself. For now, anyway.
We have a lovely, sunny morning. It's unseasonably warm, it feels like spring. Spring does not happen here this early, but here we are. For now anyway.
I'm going to have company in March. In 2008, on blogger, I met an American who lived in Denmark. She was from South Dakota, long story short, she met a Dane while in the Baltics on a Fulbright. They married and her life started again in another country. In 2010 she, with her husband and eight year old daughter, came to visit on their way to visit family in SD. Another blogger from Northern MN also came with her family for the day. After this very enjoyable group meeting my friend stopped here on her way to see family on a semi-regular basis. Life changed, no family to visit anymore and daughter went to college in Arizona.
She will be flying into the Twin Cities and will spend a day here before traveling on for a meetup with a sister and cousins to visit a remaining aunt. I think the last visit was 2019, so this is a welcome surprise. She is smart, funny and worldly. This is one of the marvels of the internet.
We've had pasta in varying forms for most of a week since I'm not feeling well. It's so quick and easy, it's my go-to. Tonight I plan to make Giada's sheet pan lasagna. It's really good and it is simple. That's the plan anyway.

Yes, international friends are now possible, great news about yours.
As always, your food looks so good.
We meet people online that we would never ever had the opportunity to meet. It is amazing and wonderful! So glad you will see your friend again. Dinner looks fabulous!!
Your March visit is something to look forward to! Unfortunately, I could eat some form of pasta everyday and this dish looks spectacular. 40 degrees here today and raining. The farrier just left and both boys were very good for her. Now it's time to go play bridge. Between the Erie Canal and the college (and my Journal) we have met people from all around the world and it has been one of our greatest pleasures. We have had at least 10 exchange students, some for the summer....a couple for the entire school year. We are still in touch with 2 from France and 1 from Germany and they have been back to the farm for visits. It is my form of traveling in reverse.
The wonders of life with access to people all over the world, Boud! I got a great deal on shrimp so I used a lot in the pasta.
Yes it is, Rita. I met you!
We have had pasta most of a week, Lori. It's an easy thing to make when making isn't what I want to do. You and my Denmark friend are both extremely social people. You would hit it off, Lori.
Great to read about your upcoming meet-up, Sandra. Meeting people face-to-face is a special joy and we have been able to meet several just from our blogging. The most recent was when we visited Price Edward Island last year.
Forgot to add that pasta is great served with so many things and lasagna was also on our dinner plate twice this week, leftovers always welcomed here.
You have something to look forward to -- in addition to spring. Your company is no doubt more reliable than the coming of spring -- at least at this stage. I am surprised you live in the Twin Cities. I expected you to be rural.
I hope the visit from your blog friend goes well
I can't wait to see you!!
