Sunday Morning

We've had about 4 inches of rain over a couple of days. Once again today, it's a dreary day. That's alright, no complaints. We need it. Autumn cleanup can wait.

We had our first fire of the season. So it begins, my best time of year.

Just catching up. I find I am beyond tired during the week, when I'm working. I can barely think or read.

Gatto looks like he's found his home. Crabby Tabby does not look at all impressed by Gatto, ears flat.

I'm deciding that I may agree and like this time of the year. No fire place, but it is a nice change from this summer.

I do like the idea of cosy times. No heating yet, just wearing warmer clothes.

Pixie, it's understandable why you are tired. Stress and worry zap the energy right out of a person.

Crabby Tabby waslsetting him know who is head orange cat around here!

Val, this past summer was horrid. I like winter, unlike many people. Of course, I don't have to drive in the bad weather. Winter is when everything slows down. Even the food reflects this, slow cooked meals. There are always candles to give a room the glow.

Boud, I turned the heat on last week. It has been upper 40s to lower 50s as highs. My pellet stove needs Bill to look at it. It may need a new auger motor.

OK. What's on that plate next to the salad? We have had fires for several days and I love the way it feels. The cooler weather is better for me too.

We just got the dreary cloudy part and a sprinkle of rain. I think our trees still need rain:)

Lori, that's a messy meatloaf, Italian sausage and ground beef. It needed a second egg to hold it together! I am happy to have that beast of a summer over.

Far Side, it can rain more, but I think we are out of drought. The pines were not looking healthy this past summer.
